Perfect! Genius!

1 The John-Lydon-Circa-1979 figure appears to be wearing pointy-toed Beatle boots on each of his feet. I'm half convinced he/it is actually an hologram projection created using footage from the pre-"Holiday Inn Lounge Band" era of PIL's career.

2 A flautist appears onstage and provides a touch of poignant counterpoint during Poptones, which seems to explain why the audience isn't heckling and gobbing at the band.

3. This sounds waay better than that other ,"official" PIL.

I originally thought that they should ring up John for a reunion, but, nah. I think the guy they found for this nails the vocals. Wobble's great and Levene's off the charts amazing, as can be expected!

Brilliant , no need for Lydon with all his prima donna baggage , this is sheer quality , this dude has to play Rotten in a biopic for sure. Great to see Keith and Wobble on stage again.

Lydon could not sing the songs with the same energy or youth as this , bit like Siouxsie , age has caught up with her voice , not her looks , glad to say .

PIL'S first 3 albums are ace, but Lydon ending up going cabaret in about 1983. The Pistols reunions since 1996 have been pure panto.

Sounds blistering. Must say though that Lydon only started to prance around the stage like that LONG after Wobble & Levene had left, so in that respect this is a bit in-authentic, but the music... fucking hell!!! :-)))

What's so insane about this is that it turns the equation on its head! For almost 30 years now, Lydon has been going about his 'PiL' business as if the backing members were interchangeable/disposable, and that the only commodity was his (celebrity) presence. Well, here we have the backing band without the actual star, and it sounds more authentic. I guess if someone wants to worship the 'star' they'll go to the offical gig. I hope this 'unofficial' lineup tours America -- I WILL ATTEND!

Is this for real? I've heard nothing of Wobble and Levene coming together. But if its true, Wobble and Levene have exactly equal rights of ownership of PIL. Lydon would be nothing without them..................

Lydon's PIL is technically the real PIL but this does sound much better to my ears (not that I can be bothered to even listen to any recent PIL).
