  • Sportsters are for real men. The bigger Harleys are for fat old men.

  • One hellova machine!!!!

  • Fuck yeah !!! I whant one now !!!!!!!! Awsome

  • Perfect bike!

  • Superb video! You combined film with stills and Harley soundtrack with music and we never lost contact with the Harley sound while still being able get some of Audioslave. Excellent job. What editing software did you use?

  • @seaymajor Thanks! Sad to say, I dont know about the software, it was friends of mine who made the film. I just rode my bike.

  • This just has to be a real handful of bike.

Except, what good is a six speed trans besides for testing the rev-limiter?

Four speed close ratio may be better suited to this stroker.

  • @Liozeris Thanks!

The six speed gearbox has a overdrive 6:th gear wich make it possible to cruise at the highway at 2500-3000 rpm, and still use four gears at the quartermile. This is not a stroker, its a 4" square engine.

  • That last ride-away, that was my favorite part. Any bike that hauls ass sounds pretty good at high speeds, but few sound so perfect as this one did on that easy roll. No deep flatulent lope like most guys tune their Sportys'. Just an even menacing grow, ready to rip.

  • @vibramsouls Thanks a lot. I'm happy with the sound too.

  • Cool bike man. Need a video of you dusting some rice rockets with it.

  • @wldsthrnboy

Thanks! There is such a video among "my favourites". Search there.

  • 4:48))))

  • YES YES YES! Now that's performance on a Harley! :D

  • my dads got an s&s electro glide 100 an 2003 1600cc

  • sabes en América donde venden esas motocicletas

  • uff que poder de motocicleta.................

  • uff que poder de motocicleta

  • the oooh so beautiful sound of an air-cooled v-twin!

  • that is one badass harley!!!!!!!!!

  • this is fucking rock

  • 4:46 SICK !!!!!!!!

  • lush great video

  • Always nice to look again!

    Greets,

    charlesb52, sportzilla.nl

  • Wow that is one cool bike, fast and loud, plenty of personality, I love Sportsters, never knew you could get them to do this sort of thing, it would be nice to compare this to a stock 1200, just to see the difference

  • Where do you get a seat & rear cowl like that for the sporster xr, it looks awsome, I have an XR1200X it would look sweet with that set. Top bike & video.

  • Awesome bike. Good job.

  • Awesome video! Great looking bike, thanks for sharing!

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • awesome!

  • Wow a harley guy that wears full leathers.

  • Now that's a real motorcycle..

    Sounds freakin great!

  • when we going to get some video of that sweet ktm !

  • @musiclovr2

It's not mine, but since the video is 3 years old I guess the KTM is worned out and recycled ;)

  • @kvadrupel

    hey they last,no motorcrossing?

  • gotta love the sound of the supa trapps through the trees....cool as.....

betcha my xr 1000 would still kick it's ass though.......jim (australia)

    ..............still smiling

  • @jimbothegarbo

Thanks! I like the XR1000. Coolest XL harley ever made!

    Wanna race? ;)

  • @kvadrupel Ha my padowen apprentice ! I feel the force is strong in you.........still not strong enough to beat the XR though........oh yeah, you're riding on the wrong side of the road too........he he.......Jim

  • do you have a rev limiter on it?

you need a stronger kickstand spring, looked like fun lol

  • @musiclovr2

Yes, It normally cuts the engine at 7000 rpm. But I lowered it to 6500 before the video since I had discovered weakened valve springs. Therefore I accidently hit the rev limit a cuople of times in the video.

The sidestand and valve springs are changed today :D

  • @kvadrupel

no video of the change dang lol

  • Sportster's are awesome bike's.Mine's a 93 with a K&N filter in the stock hamcan, piped and jetted.I use this bike every Friday on my 70 mile round trip commute and weekend fun too.Top gear roll on's are all you need in fast moving traffic, just use that torque.Cool video.

  • @amdelux1

I agree. Sportsters are fun to ride. Like a Triumph bonneville but with V-twin sound and torque.

  • @kvadrupel My thoughts exactly. But how did you get the motor to fit in the frame?

  • Talk about a crotch rocket! how did you fit that engine into an xl? Frame mods at all? i mean, it won't just bolt in right?

  • Talke about a crotch rocket! how did you fit that engine into an xl? Frame mods at all? i mean, it won't just bolt in right?

  • @watchyour69

It's a S&S 100" XL engine. Same bolt patter as stock engine. Fits right in. But demands slight adjustment of the frame to get clearance to the rear rocker box.

  • Really great looking and sounding sportster. Looks fun to ride as well. :)

  • @johnnymossville

Thanks! Yes it's great fun to ride!

  • @Nightster760

Yes they are changed. I use a 1200S fork. With adjustable preload and adjustable damping. But i have changed the springs to race tech linear springs.

  • Thanks for that demonstration of ridding that harley, well filmed !

  • great bike video footage suckssssssssssss

  • Bad ass video and bike.

  • @mikes1047

    Thanks!

  • what is the overall cost for the bike to date?

  • @sbaldwinus

    Around $50 000

  • That bike is perfect... i wouldnt change a thing

  • @TwinCamSam88

    Thanks!

  • what bhp is it making?

  • @fireblade95 This summer it produced 142 rwhp and 181 Nm. today I use Pegasus Fuel Injection, the heads are ported and I have tig welded a Burns Calculated flattrack exhaust with stepped headers. These mods raised the power from the 126 rwhp and 178 Nm it had with the HSR48 carb in the film above.

  • You Swedes have TOO much time and cash on your hands, makes my 883 look like a mini bike.

  • Best Harley made is a Sportster. THEY RULE!!!!

  • makes me hard still!!!!!

  • @fireblade95 Thanks :D

  • @fireblade95 Thanks :D

  • you need twin discs tho buddy!

  • @fireblade95 Its ISR brakes all round. Front brake nowadays is a 330 mm ISR disc and an ISR 6 piston caliper. Less weight then twin discs but performs very well.

  • Fucking awesome footage, that's some quality stuff. You did great JOB !!! Thanks.

  • Thats a really nice thing with sportsters, chicks love them too.

  • sex on wheels...i got a 99 sportster sport...mmmmmmmmmmmmm love your bike

  • Nice! In fact I have a 1200S fork on my bike. With racetech linear springs.

  • That thing is a fuck'n TORQUE MONSTER ! I love it...

  • Thanks. 178 Nm (132 Ft.Lbs) and 137 rwhp last summer

  • great!

  • Thanks!

  • Sweet.

  • Thanks!

  • sweet!

  • Thanks!

  • how much did the engine and mods cost.

I love my buell but firebolt but id like some insane power like this.

  • Adorable. Nicest Sportster Ive ever seenn(and heard). Great Project.

  • where did you get the steering damper, is that against the speed man wobble?

  • Its a LSL steering damper. I have just for safety. Its against wobble. I havent felt any wobble tendence, but since I have ran over 240 km/h with this bike I thought it would be wise to do something since I guess that Eric Buell didnt have these speeds in mind when he constructed this 1993 sportster frame. :)

  • I love this bike, Lean and Mean.

What type of shocks are they, Id like to put them on my Sporty.

  • Thanks! It's Öhlins, with hydraulic spring compressors.

  • \/\/ () \/\/

  • Thanks!

  • beautyfull bike, how many hours works for go to ride?a good vidéos,tanks!!! typiak

  • Thanks! :)

    Too much hours... ;)

  • but the performance is here!!!good ride!!! typiak

  • I have been looking into all kinds of engine mods for my sportster. The S&S 1640 would be awesome. I wanna smoke the stock Harley guys, I think this would do it. Looking forward to your new video, I have Injection, and electronic ignition now and want to keep it.

    Thanks, Ken Kansas City

  • if you cant smoke a lot of big twins with a sporty you dont know what the hell you are doing. But then again it is a girls bike. No matter what ya say or do to them

  • You will run under 11s on the quarter mile with som training with a S&S 100" engine. I have mostly raced against sport bikes. Most street big twins are too slow to race with. Street Big twins are often so much heavier that they must have 20-30 rwhp more than me to have the same acceleration.

  • I can only imagine what she's got, but stock 82 sporty has got balls of brass

  • wich geardrive do you use , could you put a final beltdrive ..... juicy sporty !

  • Thanks!

Look under info. I use a Baker Six Speed and a Bandit Superclutch. Chain primary in other words. Final drive is 530 chain. No plans to have beltdrive anywhere. Belt is no good on sand and besides I like the look of the seventys, so I dont want beltdrive on this bike.

    /J.

  • i'm using the stock exhaust. i was thinking of changing it to the stroght flow kinda pipes. do you think that will give me higher top speed ? better highend ? people told me that i will lose the low end pull if i do that. but it's the highend that i am concern about. would you give me soem comments ? please advice.

  • go with drag pipes, you'll get better response, and better acceleration, and top end

  • is drag pipe the kind of pipe that i was talking about ? i emant the stroght flow one ?

  • yea drag pipes are just regular hollow pipes, nothing inside them, they sound awesome!

  • The supertrapp flat track exhaust are good for both mid and top end power. But you need to adjust fuel in a dyno. another exhaust thats good is the V&H ProPipe 2:1 system

  • Thanks very much. you are right. I got my new paips on and top end is great. BUT, no pick up and weak on the mid range. i don't mind anyway. it's got great sound and my bike is not for racing. it's for crusing. good top end is all i need. thanks again.

  • yea, my dad doesnt like belts either, you should run drag pipes, it would sound sick, and youd prolly get it up to almsot 150rwhp, but nice bike, how hard was it to drop the engine in?

  • drag pipes are the worst pipe you can put on any motorcycle that is not used for DRAG RACING.

a proper intake and exhaust system will make the best useuable power.

  • my dads bike runs mint, plus with regular pipes, your restricting your motor, and your not getting your full potential of hp.

  • I agree. I now have efi on the bike wich gave me the posibility to map both ignition and fuel according to tps and rpm. That improved the power a lot

  • I now have welded a new 2:2 exhaust myself. Also running over the foot pegs like the ones on the vid. The new exhaust are custom calculated for this engine by Burn's in the US. They have stepped headers, 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" to 2", H-pipe and 6 degree megaphones. Drag pipes would not look good on a street tracker and I would loose mid range power.

The bike now has 137 rwhp and 132 ft lbs of torque.

  • Very nice...!!!

  • Thanks! I will try to make a new video this summer, since the bike now has fuel injection and a new exhaust designed by Burns

  • nice

  • Thanks!

    Sportsters are fun! :D

  • Fantastic..nice video mate..and bloody awesome Sporty!! I bet it takes a bit of hanging on too..lol!!

  • Thanks!

Yes she pulls quite strong .

100" in a pony bike is fun :D

  • 1640cc???!! Bloody Hell!! I've a stock (dynojetted and properly-exhausted) 1200R, and it's a bit of a beast. Sounds like a bit of valve bounce there, when you were accellerating from a stop. Well done. (And you've a lot of bikes like I have).

  • Thanks!

Yes you are right. I thought it only was the rev limiter at 7000 rpm. But in the dyno I later discovered that also the S&S valve springs had gone weak. They produced lift off already at 6300 rpm. Today I have changed to new valve springs with 200 lbs seat pressure.
