I have had this helmet for 9 months. Is a great helmet. Also bought the BT collar. However the pin lock is not really condensation free. For about a month now, I get in the morning what I called a condensation stain, just does not go away till I get the helmet off and let it rest for a while. Annoying more saw on a $700 piece of gear. I was wondering whether I should get the visor or pin lock replaced, is still under warranty
Had my C3 for a few days and then it was returned to be sent back to Schuberth in Germany due to what i believe is a fault. When i first got it, i noticed a few scratches on the sun visor. After a few days use, more scratches appeared, vertically, which were being caused by something when it was being retracted. I was told last week that germany broke up for a 3 week national holiday! (which must be nice for some) but im still to hear back about my £360 helmet 3 weeks on!!
I thought Schuberth made helmets for longer than that - I thought they made helmets for the German Army during WWI. I own a C2 BTW - real nice, great quality lots of periferal vision and VERY quiet. BUT with a windscreen on your bike, the wind buffeting causes a loud low freq reverb. Without a touring screen its actually quieter. The C3 looks like they fixed a few of the problems (lift switch for one) the C3 looks good.
Hi, I have a c3 for 9 months and I have to say that the quality is so-so...specially considering that I only use for touring, I have an agv as everyday helmet.
1st-my sun visor stopped working, it got stuck, back to the shop, they sent it for repair got it back after 1 week, working like a dream.
But now for some reason I can't understand, the pin lock is not fitted properly nor can be done, it bends more than the screen. Also there is a hissing noise even at low speed that is really annoying
Wow. Looks like I've found my new helmet. From your testing have you ridden with the flip in the up position? I ask because I ride an FJR1300, am behind a big CalSci screen, and ride a lot of IBR type rides. The biggest reason for getting a modular for me is to be able to grab a quick snack while on the go...something impossible with my current RF1100.
@novaphoenix70 Lol, I must say that I typically dont spend anything more than a stop light or 5mph with the chinbar up. If you are eating on the go, god bless you! Technically the helmet would be as non aerodynamic as you could imagine with the face up.
@tentori We cover it at a high level in Part two of the C3 Video Review. This is part 1. - I want to spend some more time riding in it before we do our full review on it by itself.
This helmet is overpriced, a few little things can't justify hundreds of dollars, should go for no more than $400

@dfordens Hey Df, thanks for your feedback. Schuberth NA will remedy the pinlock if it is under warranty. You should shoot them a line.
