i think that either obama will be assassinated or there will be several assassination attempts if he gets elected. Im not racist but many ppl in america are
the u.s isnt ready for a girl president not that im being sexist or anything but its true the war in iraq isnt being taking care of the way they should be and a girl just isnt ready to be president yet.thats just my opinion u can agree or disagree if you like but its just an opinion
while i'm not going to call your views incorrect, i will disagree with them. I think that right now, the democratic party is divided in fairly large portions of either Hilary, or Barack. If they teamed up together, the party would be able to rebound from the big split this candidate race has caused. It's been mentioned before that hilary would provide both white AND minority votes. If they could both put their claws back, then Barack and Hilary could make a powerful team.
Can't win the white bigot vote with two minorities. Hillary gets the Hispanic vote, the white bigot vote, and would do a lot more help in the states that democrats need to win, e.g. Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, to name a few. Plus, roughly forty percent of hilary's supporters in these crucial swing states said that they would not vote for Obama were he to get the nomination. These voters would much more easily be won over with Hilary as a vice president.
I don't think that whole Latino thing matters. Latinos are just as likely to look at the issues. I think you underestimate them as a people if you think they'd vote for someone just because they look similar. In fact, in the beginning of the presidential race, a lot of white news correspondents claimed that black voters would vote for Obama based on race, and, if memory serves, many who supported Hillary were offended by that...
you have to understand that many politions think of groups as votes, i.e. the female vote, the hunters votes, the jewish vote,and look at the views of the female community or jewish community to try and get that vote. Also, not just Hispanics, but many Americans will look at the candidate, read vry little about there views, and vote, something like, o he's Canadian, Canadian pride!, ect ect
Bill Richardson is precisely who I'd want on the ticket as well. There is rumor though, that Ed Rendell, the governer of my state(PA) is an option as well, even though he supported Clinton. Actually that was part of the alleged strategy. Ed could wane the Hillary supporters over to the Obama camp. Are you familiar with Rendell?
First of all, you opened your post with "i hate obama". Second of all, Al Gore for the most part has retired from politics. Besides, Obama has many other candidates to choose from, and Al Gore wouldn't win him over any voters that he couldn't previously reach.
Abortion is a good thing,Instead of having a baby at a young age, having almost no income then becoming bankrupt, someone could go through abortion so that they dont have to bring a kid that their not ready to raise at that time. Ofcourse u wouldnt no what its like to be delt a bad hand, because ppl like u always friggen look at things like u can understand ppls pain, but u cant u dont know wat its like to be born in a racial world and be in gettos and be poor, so stop acting like its nothing...
I don't support abortions, although I totally understand what you have said. I think that it should be made easy for those considering an abortion to put their babies up for adoption.
Also, NM is already trending Democratic. An open Senate seat seems to favor Rep. Tom Udall by something like 15-20 points. There isn't a good recent history of voting split tickets. BO and TU, campaigning with BR, can deliver NM without nominating BR. And then you could find a westerner who reinforces BO's Change/Hope narrative in a different state, expanding the map. Gov Brian Schweitzer of MT comes to mind. Don't get me wrong, BR would make a great VP *IF* selected, but your criteria are old.
...The first post I made didn't appear but the second did. I guess bc I included links to support my point. Ask if you want them. The gist is that the idea that a Dem running mate needs to make up for the candidate's weaknesses dates back to a time when the South was firmly Democratic but at odds with Dems elsewhere who were involved in the CRM, and previous times when parties were regional machines whose bosses needed appeasement.
If there is a racist vote, it would be a waste of time for the black candidate to worry about courting it. And if McCain courts it, he risks losing reform-minded independents to Obama and thus the election.
I think Obama wins the Hispanic vote anyway, but his game is increased turnout not a marginal increase in appeal by picking an Hispanic Veep.
...rethink the conventional wisdom on which your argument rests. Any Dem ticket would have won in 1976. The only Dem ticket to win since the 1968 "southern strategy" realignment, then was Clinton/Gore, a team of personable southern moderate geniuses who reinforced what people liked in the other one beautifully.
I wouldn't actually insult him, as most of his content is pretty darn great. I have genuine admiration for his insight and his generosity sharing that insight with us... but he is distracting me lately with a "class clown" approach to his dialogs. It is like serving a good expensive steak on a rusty hub cap instead of a fine plate. He can do better... I have seen his better.
Are you epileptic? You seem to be on the borderline of a seizure... maybe your red record light blinks too rapidly. You can cover that up with gum or something... Maybe it is just your mannerisms. It is just hard to take your commentary seriously with that goofy look on your face. Maybe you are just nervous. I'm reminded of Stevie Wonder when I watch you speak lately. Your dialog used to flow smoother. You should look into it Mr. Brown. Oh, and anagrams arent cool anymore Rando Bwinel.
I absolutely agree with you on most if not all of your points during this video. Not because I live in New Mexico and I think Bill Richardson is one of the best governors we've ever had, but he has done a lot of negotiations with North Korea and I think he is a very strong choice and I hope Obama wins and I hope Bill Richardson is his Vice-President.
you kept rambling about y and how your selections should be the one to run for the government positions... but you never talked about why the other candidates, specifically hillary, should not be in the position she's after.... do you hate women? or women in the government?
I'd still go with Hillary. Not only is she strong among Hispanics (because of Bill Clinton, who she'd also bring to the white house), but she also helps with working class Democrats and women, which seems to be more of a round deal to me.
Danny boy, you're such a sucker, which I can overlook because of your youth. I can't claim to know vastly more than you, but the politics game never seems to work out for most of humanity. I like Obama, and I'll vote for him, but I can't say I trust him. The most important questions are, in my opinion, what's best for the biosphere?; and how can we ensure the survival of humanity while providing the optimum experience for all life?
I think wesley clark would be just as good. He has the experience that you said Richardson, he can get the older vote, and he knows more military than McCain or Obama combined and would really be able to help Obama debate issues like military with McCain.

General Wesley Clark is the best choice for VP.
He spoke out against the War in Iraq;
He's a successful retired general;
He's a Clinton supporter.
He's run a presidential campaign;
He's a southern white male.
This is the one ticket the Democrats can cover all the bases with. If that's not enough, watch 'Clark smacks Fox News'.

The only issue (sadly) that I see with a perceived black president with a perceived mexican VP is that it might give McCain more of the white vote.
You can say that's racist, but is it any more racist than expecting Hispanics to vote for the Hispanic guy?
Though I must say, I'm not defending racism, I'm just pointing out that it seems to still be a factor these days :(
