As a bona fide Perry Barrican I am delighted the towers are coming down.
It took my breath away when I saw Calder being demolished. The last I heard Urban Splash were going to save the dirt stained Gate Way to Perry Barr. The Credit Crunch has a silver lining after all
I used to run up and down the stairs as a game in my youth, dodging drug addicts and falling in piss as I went, and even saw a jumper off one of the towers in the 80s.
Used to think the folk who lived here were posh!
