His show wasn't that good to begin with, it didn't have any more viewers than F.R.I.E.N.D.S. even when they were running new episodes, and they rivalled the Supranos for horrible endings in my book. I'm seriously pretty sure these Larry King interviews are no different from an interview on Letterman or Leno, where they do the pre-interview, and then the interviewer asks pre-determined questions based on that. The thing that sets a Larry King interview apart from other talk shows is that Larry is a terrible, terrible interviewer, and phrases the questions in a way that is completely awkward and unnatural sounding, and I think that's what Jerry was riding him about.

You know what, even if Seinfeld was being serious there is nothing wrong with that. He earned over $250 million a year from Seinfeld, with 75 million viewers for The Finale. He can afford to be a dick about it. What does he care, he's driving around in his Porsche and sleeping on a bed of cash everyday. He has defined the standards that comedies should live up to and also, alongside Larry David, changed many people's views on everyday life. Mission accomplished I say.

I agree. Seinfeld was being an egotistical douche. His show wasn't that good to begin with, it didn't have any more viewers than F.R.I.E.N.D.S. even when they were running new episodes, and they rivalled the Supranos for horrible endings in my book. Plus I never found the women George got with believable. A short, fat, bald man with some of these women - please. Not to mention Seinfeld himself with some of them like Jane Leeves, Courtney Cox, not with his horse-face.

I'm seriously pretty sure these Larry King interviews are no different from an interview on Letterman or Leno, where they do the pre-interview, and then the interviewer asks pre-determined questions based on that. The thing that sets a Larry King interview apart from other talk shows is that Larry is a terrible, terrible interviewer, and phrases the questions in a way that is completely awkward and unnatural sounding, and I think that's what Jerry was riding him about.

Well considering that Seinfeld was probably Jerry's greatest work I'm sure he's going to be offended if his show was assumed canceled. It's not so much that he has a big head, but its a bit of a stab to the ego when somthing you dedicated most of your life to is assumed to have crashed and burned. It's like spending 20 years constructing an amazing building with beautiful architecture and stability and then some guy is like "oh that actually was finished? they didnt quit halfway through?"
