Tata Vega absolutely KILLED on the original version....Patti Austin is ok but I don't like Chaka singing this at all.

I think you're right. Quincy Jones did the music for The Color Purple so it very well could be. This definitely sounds like it.

Ooo, you're so naughteeeeee. They're both great in their own right. If you've ever listened to Patti's live CD she sounds a bit like Chaka.
