I wonder if you're on Superstar mode as defense, and you do an illegal helmet hit when whoever has the ball puts their head down. Then, after the game you were fined $500,000. Now THAT, would be realistic. But of course EA Sports are too lazy to let alone put in the Euphoria engine, so I doubt it will happen. If only...

this happens in real life when you lower your head and not look for the ball you miss the tackle and plus backbreaker sucks offense on it sucks, the only thing good about it is the tackle alley

The problem is that the Hit Stick became a little more realistic with the science involved...A lot of times, people would overuse the hit stick and thought they were playing great defense because you were "SUCKED" into the tackle...Madden 11 addresses this concept in the event that if your player is not in position, or his head is down before he makes contact, you miss the opportunity...That doesn't mean it isn't working...It means you have to work on timing and execution...

you just don`t know how to use it. First of all, your angle of attack is bad. Second of all, you missed. Which means you were late on the hit stick, not to mention you tried to check him from nearly a 90 degree angle. As you can see your arm didnt quite get around him. Find a better angle and flick the hit stick earlier. When they say before you make contact with the player (the manual) they don`t mean RIGHT before you hit him..they mean about as close to 1 second as you can.

Furthermore, a counter flick would've made this play look even more embarassing. If you flick up/down for the hit stick and the WR flicked right, he wouldve scooted to the right as you went flying by and continued.

AND Ps: hit sticking an opponent out of bounds is like..eh!..you take a serious chance when you try to hit stick, most A.I. defenders know its coming. I wouldve just done a basic tackle(run into him) seeing as the reason he scored was because of your poor decision making. kthxbai

@emin3mowns1 its not even knowing how to use it...i have played exactly 69 games online and like 50 more in franchise, and exibitions and i have not gotten 1 hit stick..... hit stick is so impossible to do...i have been literally right in front of the guy face to face and i hit the hitstick and he just bounces right off....madden never seem to get anything right...they add to much of one thing and take off from another...they payed so much attention to running back and them evading tackle

the hit stick in this game sucks, in 10 and 9 if you had high hit stick you would get sucked into a hard hit and fumball witch made hard hits matter in a game and was worth the risk now in 11 idk if he as 96 hit power because most of the time youl blow right past them
