As of this week she is scheduled to be transferred to the newly re-formed Orient Lines and be renamed 'Marco Polo II'. Her original 1969 turbines engines (in good condition but very expensive to operate) and SOLAS 2010 requirements may cause problems for her new operators. Had Orient Lines not stepped forward, the scrapyard was a real possibility.
No she is not going to be sold up for scrap. she is going to have a major refit and then start cruises for the russian market. I am sorry I cant remember the name of the cruise company but it is located in St. Petersburg.

Scarpyard will be once cleard with Loyd's Register but now "Maxim Gorky" layed up in Piraeus awaitng its fate.

Beautiful ship. Sadly she is to be sold off (most likely for scrap) within the next few years.
