Kinda new to Radiohead and can and do appreciate there originality and have been going crazy listening to all there stuff on YT. So far from every song I have heard this is by far my favorite. The melody gets stuck in my head like dimentia. Aslo with I could find a really good recording of Lotus Flower live as I think its a better version than the album. That damn melody is addicting as well. Have to admit though that alot of there other songs I just dont get and sound like static to me.

The buildings falling represent the coming end of all things and the fall of the beams that hold everything together. Something big is gonna happen over my dead body is the story's heroes feeling of time running out and there willingness to give there lives to save the overlapping universes while the bystanders have no clue what is happening. I know that art imitates art and can be interpreted alot of different ways but this seems way to perfect of a fit to the book.Or maybe im reading into it

@klassikar good interpretation, i've never read it. i 've heard this in gorillaz' album demon days. i was actually thinking about the meaning of this onsg . there are many emotions crammed into this song . a sense of sarcasm in the beginning phrase about the rag and boneman. i am "not" something for death is what i interpret. that's what i get from that line . reluctance, sympathy for father and mother and their children , frustration .
