  • this sounds more like oblivion and morrowind, that means is good

cant compare skyrim to those games...

  • Great work! You have combined two differents themes very armoniously!

  • So, let me get this straight, is this actually in the game, or a fan composition? It's awesome, either way. Atmospheric, and incredibly emotional.

  • Awesome keep up the great work

  • hey man! what music program do you use to get such great orchestral sounds? finale, sibelius?

    love this btw!

  • Those 3 dislikes are without soul.

  • STOP SOPA.. this is amazing XD

  • The Beginning rimind to Oblivion! :) Amazing!

  • so peacefull XD

  • Beautiful!

  • Upon hearing this song, I think of the Nerevarine making his glorious return in Skyrim(game).

  • I used to be a composer like you, then... :(

  • Can I say this is amazing? The only thing that tops this in fan-made Skyrim music is the Dragonborn Comes- Female cover. In fact that song and this music could seamlessly be integrated in the game.

    Cheers from Canada

  • @sylvanha :))))

This is why I LOVE Canadians!

  • Love all the music you worked on for Skyrim!

  • fine piece my friend, fine piece. I give five root beer toasts out of five :3

  • Sub me please , i'm startin daily v-logs for skyrim, first one is unboxing :)

I'll of course sub back :)

    Thanks

    /nfret2k8

  • Very nice.

  • Out of curiosity, and because I know a lot of people here are probably wondering the same thing, what programs do you use / what background do you have ihn music?

  • Comment removed

  • are you using cubase?

  • Download? :(

  • Absolutely beautiful. If Beth ever fires Jeremy, you MUST apply!

  • @DarkScythe33398 like thats gunna happen to jeremy haha this is still amazing tho

  • Greatness. Where did you get the screenshots used in your Skyrim songs?

  • I think I've listened to this song more than I have the Sons of Skyrim... Truly says something, jdrcomposer. The string sections are absolutely breathtaking. Please, please keep up the amazing work.

  • You got Soule.

  • @ChezzyKnytt YYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • 100 thumbs up to all the songs u make!!! u rock!!!

  • this is a mix between oblivion: wings of kynareth and morrowind: opening credits = mindblowing

  • Great composition! Don't know if you have heard some of the in-game music in the 20 minute online demo narrated by Todd Howard, but it is quite good as Todd doesn't narrate within it too much and you can actually get a listen to some of the themes that are actually going to be used in the game. I especially love the song that starts playing in the demo when the character leaves the town of Riverwood on horseback. You should check it out if you haven't already. Most anticipated release ever!

  • the nostalgia is overwhelming

  • Absolutely fantastic man, great integration of the themes and it all fits together perfectly the way you made it. Love everyone of these compositions, keep up the good work!

  • This is so beautiful, I've been listening to it everyday. Amazing work and I'll have to listen to more of your stuff. Thanks for sharing this.

  • sounds like morrowind ,sorta

  • Gotta love misleading titles.

  • great song, amazing work man

  • If this isn't clearly being ABLE to compose, then I don't know what is...

  • Grand and peaceful re-imagining of an Oblivion classic...bravo :)

  • You son, are a fucking genious

  • "Frosty !"

  • Fucking awesome.

  • You have great mastery over the software you use and your actual musical composition is great also. Excellent taste in music as well! Gotta love Jeremy Soule!

  • If you make a mod for Skyrim with this music, I'll be all over it. Great stuff! I finally got VSL SE and am slowly starting work on something similar, though haven't made use of the Elderscrolls themes.

  • Are you jeremy soule?

  • @harrenysk cause it sure as hell sounds like it.

  • @harrenysk - He must be, it's obviously Jeremy Soule writing this music under the alias of J. D. Russell, because nobody could make music that sounds this great except the great Soule himself. /joke

  • I love how you fade the morrowind theme into the skyrim one.

  • Outstanding

  • its remastered Morrowind soundtrack? IMHO even better than the original one^^

  • @FiFiGiN88 - It's both Morrowind & Oblivion tracks melded into one, and I agree, it's bamf.

  • wonderful.. totally beautiful -relaxes-

    this is rly awesome! (=

  • JD, don't listen to the haters. I enjoyed this very much. :)

  • well done mate ,huge fan of jeremy soule ,theme from oblivion, reminds me when i go to skingrad i think,...very nice

  • What's happening here is kolorg isn't seeing the difference between composition of a melody, vs. composition of a whole new orchestration of a melody. This is basically and orchestration of an already established theme, which still requires compositional skills. This is no way a direct rip off of the original soundtrack that Jeremy Soule created, it's a re-orchestration with some new melodic touches and a different chord structure.

  • @nathanallenpinard - Basically, Mr Kolorg is a moron. A deaf moron who should go jump off a building.

  • @WastelandCrusader See I actually disagree with that, though he is being a damned troll. He's musically uneducated so it's his perception that's causing him to think JDR is ripping something off.

  • @nathanallenpinard - And when he founds out that Russell ISN'T ripping Soule off, he refuses to accept that, gets butthurt, and goes on a trolling spree. Wondrous.

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Hey what woodwind libraries are you using here? Thanks!

  • similar like madagaskar soundtrack, but well orchestrated !

  • wow, really cool and good! i would just add fan made to the top so people don't mistake this as real ingame music

  • @kolorg There's always gotta be one I guess....let me know when you "put together a few already made songs"

    Cheers,

    -JD

  • @kolorg Ahem....please look at my channel to see one of my 95 or so composition videos. If you take a look at all of them and tell me again I can't compose, I'll think again. Meanwhile, I'm working on a few films right now, so I don't have time to deal with trolls. If you comment again, it will be deleted.

    Cheers,

    -JD

  • @kolorg Did you even read the description you ignorant moron? Or watch any of his other videos? There's no one else to blame here, but your stupidity. Now that you're aware of how much of a fool you are, thinking resorting to a legion of insults will make you any better, I'd ask this amazing composer to delete both your comments and mine, to erase this unfortunate event from the history of a video that deserves better.

    Peace, love and bacon.

  • @kolorg wow, the good ol' mother's basement insult. Real original, man

  • @kolorg what I read " Im an ignorant fuck and like insulting people about things because im to fucking lazy to read descriptions"

  • @kolorg - Real original aren't you? Besides his Skyrim pieces, he did tons of other original works. Why don't you try and make something like this, create a few videos instead of acting like a total fucktard who obviously can't read. You fail on so many levels, why don't YOU get out of your mother's basement, at least Mr Russell has the money to purchase all his composing software and more. You're completely pathetic, lol.

  • What in the world do you use to make these? Angels and Rainbows?

  • I love the 1:06 moment!

  • Wow that was fast! THANK YOU! Thanks a lot for that ^^

  • Thumbs up for Skyrim and jdcomposer)))

You will have to create sound for TES:6

  • I love these

  • These are the best, do more Skyrim tracks

  • Morrowind! Hell yeah!

  • wonderful.

  • This is brilliant mate, I <3 Elder Scrolls Music.

  • Great piece

  • Another absolutely beautiful piece. I love your integration of the more toned-down version of the Elder Scrolls theme. The one complaint I have is that the clarinet intro could use a bit more reverb. Other than that, I could easily see this in Skyrim. Have you considered making a complete soundtrack for Skyrim if someone makes a soundtrack mod like the one for Oblivion?

  • @AnonymousComposer Thanks! And if someone makes that mod, it will probably be me :D

  • @jdrcomposer And if you make that mod, I will most certainly install it :D

  • @jdrcomposer I have a question. Is Stormdrum 2 better suited for this style of music than Stormdrum 1? I got the first one and I couldn't find any samples that I would have any use for.

  • @andrewh817 SD2 is better for the more epic soundtrack stuff, but SD1 still has some cool patches in it.

  • @AnonymousComposer You know, in Oblivion and Morrowind, you don't need a mod to add your own songs to the soundtrack. All you have to do is drag the songs into the game's music folder, granted they are the same type as the ones already in there.

  • Dude...my brain just died from the awesomeness.
