well I know its "popular" to jump on the Hate GM bandwagon but fuck that. I have two GM vehicles and they have been great cars, my Suburban has over 130,000 miles and my Escalade just broke 70,000 miles. Meanwhile My Great Aunt's Camry is having transmission problems. It all really depends on how you take care of your car really. GM's bankruptcy was due to mismanagement.

The bankruptcy rules that the rest of us have to follow dont apply to the GM bankruptcy. The Government is making it up the rules as they go along. Who is going to trust them enough to buy them out of the auto companies if they keep stealing investors money?

Time to organize, write your local paper, talk to your friends, and stop the Government before they have a completely different set of rules to follow than the rest of us.

I'm a mechanic and I hardly see any Japanese cars come in for heavy mechanical work, only for oil change. I even own a Toyota truck and It's the most reliable vehicle I own.

Mitsubishi builds the "Fast and the Furious Cars" and they are cool. I do not recall seeing any of the modern GM vehicles in that movie. Nobody wants a tricked out Cobalt or Aveo.

Most of the Japanese vehicles are made here. How are the money going to Japan when the workers live here in the states? It's not like Mexico where these illegals come here and then sent their wages back home. These days more and more vehicles from Japan are built here to avoid tax and costly transportation. And besides u don't have to overhaul ur engine or transmission every 50k miles. I rather invest my money on something that is reliable and well built.
