I know this video is old but you can open the mixer in windows and change the volume for separate programs so from there you can turn the volume of the emulator down from there! :)

That's why I don't play the 'Hack' ver of the games, because when you know that when you saved, the game doesn't saves at all, that's why I stick to the 'Orignal' ones insted.

Man, this is one of the greatest hacks that ever existed. I wish I could be of more help, but I barely remember anything of it. I think I was at 12 hearts or so last time I played. All I know is that you don't get the bow for a while, but it's really easy to get once you get... there. Yep. Best of luck to ya!
