  • Hell yeah, i be scared too if, mice popped out,of my shit!!

  • it seems like one elephant has a computer

  • so the myth is a fact :O

  • haha, this is serious, ooyyy.

  • It's also important to distinguish between fear and being startled/surprised.

  • fucking shit ecological validity

  • 1 person got scared by a mouse

  • Watch the whole episode, they debunked the dung movement. They did another test which just the dung movement with no mouse. The elephant did not flinch

  • Lol he maybe Aussie but he does the English voice overs lol ??? Strange huh(??

  • whats with the australian voice? do they have differnt people for other english countrys too?

  • @Joesolo13 i guess so

  • It's probably more afraid of the movement than anything. I'd stop to if a pile of shit flipped over right in front of me, mouse or no mouse.

  • i hate this voice over thumbs up if you prefer the original voice over

  • their scared of it because their scared it will go in their ears

  • @peachezNcream112

i dont need 2 wish ive had a 3 sum wiv adam and jamie lol

  • i reckon adam and jamie were wankin each other off lmao

  • @MrFunnymanhaha

    you wish -___-

  • No it is not good enough to show that

  • da reaction on der faces are freaking hilarious hahahaha

  • Shit scared or scared of shits...???

  • really guys? You think that the American public is THAT stupid?

    1. The elephant seemed to be a juvenile that was already acting "froggy"

    2. Any creature on earth with a few more cells than phytoplankton would have the innate instinct to back away from something BIGGER than the mouse tipping over at its feet, snakes maybe?

    3. Like all the human activity around the elephant doesnt already have it on edge?

    4. Why not just set off a crap load of mice into an elephants path, why make the turd move?

  • @MOMSGOALLTHEWAY

    1. There was an obvious gigantic change in its behavior

    2. Watch the whole show, numbnuts. They tried it again WITHOUT THE MOUSE and the elephant walked right over the dung.

    3. See #1 and #2

    4. Because then there's no control over the experiment whatsoever.

    Yeesh.

  • Elephants are not really afraid of mice.. they are just worried the mouse is going to climb up their trunk, which could lead to suffocation. Or whatever exactly happens when their trunk gets plugged, don't remember that part to be honest

  • Too me, it seems he got suprised by seeing something move and something came out of it unexpectedly, this doenst mean, that elephants are scared for mouses...so mythbuster , let the researchers of animal planet or national geographic do their science and study animal behavior on a more proven methodological way ..your conculsion is very weak, but then again i dont think the average viewers of mythbusters do care..

  • @confidential303 Have you seen the entire episode? They did test it out with just the dung moving and the elephant didn't react to the movement at all. Then, they did the mouse test again and it reacted to the mouse. However, it would be cool to see Animal Planet or NG test it.

  • Elephants are "scared" of mice because they have ultra sensitive feet

  • that elephant = pussy

  • this video made me go poop

  • well... I would need to see the whole episode to really believe it

  • the elephant was not scared of the mouse he fear that the dung moved.

  • They test that in the next part, "Mythbusters Elephant vs Mouse" has what happens after this video ends.

  • no actually, i saw the whole episode and they tested it w/o the mouse in it and the elephant dident even notice so it WAS the mouse

  • At first I thought it was the sudden movement of the crap what scared the elephant... but then I saw this same episode on my tv; they did the same with nothing inside and even with a furry toy-mouse and the elephants just walked over it... then they repeated it with the alive mouse and they got scared again... it was just amazing.

  • That is so strange. I wonder what goes though the Elephants mind when it sees the mouse. :S

  • just like how we are scared of cockroaches

  • Comment removed

  • "cute, fluffy; probably deadly"

  • LOL!!... I think I found the answer to my question. Thank you Wolf.

  • Uh, it was just suprised, and then walked off around it. Elephants dont intentional trample things for the fun of it, unless they are enraged.

  • I think this elephant does not want to hurt this little thing or may be he does not want this mouse run into his nose

  • i think it was the crap rolling that scared it like, say we go in the backyard and are cleaning up our dogs poo and then it just rolls over with nothing there what would you do? i`d probably back away too!

  • That's what the Mythbusters had thought at first, but then they did the test with only the poop rolling, without the mouse, and the elephant didn't stop or anything, so it is obvious that the mouse has something that scares them.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • What's with the Australian narrator?

  • while of course its gunna get scared when something pops up in font of you.

  • They did it again and they ran off trumpeting. I think they are either scared of it getting in their trunk or ear, or they don't want to hurt them. They are extremely intelligent creatures btw.

  • omgg

  • Maybe he didn't want to step on the mouse. Elephants can't see underneath them. "you can scare a big guy with a little pecker"

  • Wait. WHAT.

  • sign me up i need a job in comedy.

  • seriously elephants have a great intellect and memory, they prolly know that dung doesn't just fall over like that and a mouse be inside it. So the elephant just backs up as a caution.

  • nope they tried it without the mouse inside, it wasn't afraid of the dung.

  • @brumster01 they tested just the dung moving on its own and the elephants didn't seem to care

  • Maybe the Elephant was cautious of the mouse because they were worried about stepping on the little creature and harming it. They have a strong nit family and probably cast that onto other animals. They are among the mot intelligent creatures in the world along with humans dolphins and other apes. So maybe it was just being cautious of another life below its foot.

  • yeah but the elephant STOPPED and went the other direction.

    i still gave u a +1 lol

  • They are actually afraid of it going up its nose...

    but nice explanation!!

  • mythbusters rock!!

  • lawls!

  • They are not scared of mice, they just don't want to harm the little mice.

  • I'd back away from something if suddenly a heap of dung flipped over and unleashed a mouse. I don't think it's unfair to say that the shock of dung flipping over for no reason would be enough to startle the elephant.

  • The elephant was wondering why someone had tied fishing line to his shit--that's what scared him.

  • lol

  • hahah this is cool!!

  • Haha!

I think I heard that it was because a mouse can enter the elephants ear and kill it or something

    not sure

  • tbh, i think the elephant felt the wire on his leg and didnt want to walk into more wire, but that mouse was quite scary.

  • The wire never touched the elephant. The video clearly shows that.

  • that mouse was ADORABLE!!!! lol

  • Mythbusters is the best! WOOT!

  • Lol! I love Mythbusters! It's so funny!

  • lol the reason the elephants are scared is because the mice give off a high pitched noise that scares the elephant

  • wud it still be able to hear the mouse even tho it was still inside the dung tho?
