There is no doubt that Stockton is better. More assist, more steals better defender and could penetrate better. He isn't AS money from the 3 point line or mid range as Steve Nash but he still shoots a high percentage. He averages more points in a league where there WAS HAND CHECKING and there WAS NO 3 second rule for centres. There would be no way Steve Nash could penetrate in those circumstances.
