Actually come to think of it mark2million you`re right in that regard...but tragically she hasn`t gone well here in Oz...only 3 hit tracks 'Revolution', 'Fast Car' and 'Gimme one reason'. Yet songs like 'baby can i hold you', 'ticket', and 'crossroads' did nothing. I think at the time, Oz was caught up in the Stock, Aitken, and Waterman songwriting fever. Eg Jason Donovan, Kylie, etc.

I don't think she's underrated. She made her name around the Nelson Mandela tribute and has since had (and is still having) a career of the kind many former "superstars" would die for. She could fill a concert hall in any city in the world, critical acclaim, Grammys. What more can anyone ask for?
She's a genuine child prodigy. I remember being quite touched by the story of how her school all clubbed together to buy her a guitar to take up her scholarship with the "A Better Chance" program.

yah, I was drunk when I wrote this, I think.
but I stand by the comparison. Anthony Kiedis sounds just like Chapman in some of his stuff, like when he sings. I rescind the bit about Chapman being weak, but I'm pretty sure that the red hot chili peppers all have more estrogen than Mrs. Chapman

I agree with npscholes. Deserves more success. This song here in Oz tragically
did jack in the top 50. Beats the hell out of me why. -Daz in Oz
