Nice DSM dude! Any reason for getting rid of it?? Moving on to something better?
I'm actually in the market now for either a '99 GS-T, GSX, or a '98 Talon TSi. I could use the great gas mileage so I'm keeping my eyes peeled..but all of the GS-T's I find have about 110K+! How did your's hold up with simple maintenance and how many miles did you log on yours before the sale? Thank you!
Thanks! I purchased this one to sell and only had it for last summer, but it was great (this was also the 7th DSM that I built). It had about 125k miles.
I didn't keep it because I had another just like it that I've owned for the last 2 years...a 1997 GS-T Spyder, white, black top, gray leather with only has 59k miles! I was going to do an AWD swap on it, but have since found an awesome 3000gt spyder that I'm going to build instead.
I'm sending you a message about the one for sale...
If it sounds like the motor is working, but the top isn't moving, you can replace the torsion pins in the motor...they're only about $0.30 each and take an hour or two to replace.
If the motor isn't making any sound, check the auto/manual switch in the trunk.
If it's the rails, I'm surprised to hear that because the 96's are supposed to have the best rail system of all the years...but the ones in the back can bend.
@blessusall12 It's been a while...but if I recall the switch is located along the rear wall of the trunk on the drivers side. It may be behind one of the plastic panels that are easy to remove.
It seemed pretty quick, but I'm surprised to hear that.
The eBay buyer backed out...I ended up selling to someone local. I've actually got another project in the works (identical car, just a 1997). I need to find a way to get the car here from Florida...without paying over $1000 ideally.
looks like mine.....i have custom 17 inch race rims, custom white lights all around.
and a carbon fiber custom hood in black.
i love my car!!...♥
