  • it can be done at any time during the massage. However, when performing stretches in the beginning, it is important to make sure the muscles have been warmed up. This is because "cold" muscles tear more easily. Muscles can be warmed up quickly; a five minute walk should do the trick for most muscle groups.

  • he didnt ask permission like he said to do. piss.

  • I can see where stretches would be useful in a computer related job, followed by a massage

  • stretching in sports is done at the beginning AND the end, so I see why it would be no different for a massage

  • It has been proven that stretching before exercise has no/little benefit when performing explosive activities like sprinting, playing football, lifting weights, tennis, rugby etc. This lengthens the muscles and as a consequence reduces speed and power. However it can be said that it MIGHT reduce injuries but this also is near impossible to prove as injuries occur both with athletes that stretch and those that do not.

I'd take a massage any day of the week post exercise!

  • @jolio2512 clown

  • This appears to me to be for the beginning of the massage.

  • Would the stretching be for the beginning of the massage, end of the massage or both?
