  • Marshall MA. Y U NO HAVE HEADPHONE JACK?

  • honestly theres to many damn good musicians like this guy out there...get on stage people and play that $hit!!

  • How would an acoustic elec sound on this amp?

  • I play me mexican strat through this amp using the built in crunch balance and it is just awesome!

  • solo from 1:36 to 2:08 is awsome

  • Did you use someone pedals in marshall MA?

  • Guys, I hit up Ellaways today, they said this amp is the shittest Marshall Valves there are, they sold 2 in total before they decided to stop selling them, they both came back within weeks, broken, or faulty, dont waste your money.

  • give me a break. plastic input jacks? so the controls must plastic too. i love the way the camara avoids focusing on it . fuck off

  • @sweetgyy All Marshall Amps have plastic jacks!

  • @sweetgyy

god man why you so mad?

  • @DreadedLeopard i'm really not mad just disgusted .

  • the distorsion is not that good

  • @pacokja

not made for metal. are you retarded?

  • @DreadedLeopard man, who's talking about metal? you're so retarded

  • @pacokja oh yah it's made in anywhere but england! oh yeah the speakers are chinese!

  • QUALITY ISSUE , MADE IN CHINA, WTF WAKE UP PEOPLE . CHINA IS PRODUCING SHIT amps that break down

  • This sounds pretty good.

  • how much is an MA50C (in pounds sterling)?

  • i wanna play that little solo

  • Ive tryed one of these! the led amber back lit was cool ! the amp to me had to be really dialed in to get a smooth crunch out of it .Didn't like the cheep screen grill it had on front for that price I exspected more, anyway I liked the carvin V3M better that came out this nnam Year Three channels ,reverb, Boost, 50ws. to 22ws. to7ws. FourEl84 tubes &four 12ax7 Reverb all asigned to eighter channel,Two different Back lit led lamps red &Blue switch looks cool!. $200.cheeper then Ma sounds great!

  • is the 50 w combo too loud to play at home?

  • @callehasty No. I had a 50 watt combo for a week, and it was fine for home use (but had quality issues). The half stack on the other hand, is probably too loud for home use.

  • straight to the overdrive..oh yea! thats how amp demos should be like hahah

  • i wish i had an accent....

  • @SimanGtr75 oh oh right thats :)

  • @SimanGtr75 oh right cheers dude I've never actually owned an amp head I'm still considering it :P

  • made were not in england how about china with all over seas parts check it out

  • Didn´t know that Jim Morrison demonstrates guitar amps.

  • Should I Get The 100W Head Or The Marshall Vintage Modern?

  • hey i'm thinkin about getin this amp but, i'm not sure if i should get the combo or the head. Any thoughts on this? thnks

  • What would be the benefit of getting the ma100h instead of the ma50h ?

  • Turn the volume up, fucking pussy

  • Sounds like sheer lovely Angus crunch with the boost off

  • Good demo, but that sounds really fizzy, just like my solid state fender

  • Awesome Guitar, Awesome Amp, Awesome Skills !

  • That guy rocks! Pretty sick tone!

  • i have bougth a mac 50w and let me tell you great power...

but forget this amp for metal (unless you have apedal).

The pinch harmonics sucks on this amp.

This amp is great for classic rock and clean channell.

thumbs up if you agree (and if you want to..)

  • Wow, nothing like a Les Paul and a Marshall eh? :-)

  • Jack White?...

  • My friend got a Marshall MA50C, and came over to my house yesterday to come jam. Man, what an amp! Awesome Tones with my Fender CV 50's strat

  • what is the first song?

  • what this final music ?

  • You don't have to play with the OD buttor...just buy a Pedal....

  • That guitar looks too good for that kid to be holding ;D

  • Overdrive sounds shite!

  • I just had a chance to play this amp this morning and I was blown away! (Just wish i could afford one)

  • please somebody help me!! is this a good amp?? wich one is better, Vox AC15C1 or Marshall MA50C??? I NEED HELP, I CAN'T DECIDE WICH ONE TO BUY!!!

  • @MCboy1820 what kind of stuff do you want to play

  • @ManBearPigInc I play hard rock and punk rock

  • @MCboy1820 Your gonna want a marshall or something higher gain for those genres. VOXs are great but are better for single coil cleans where marshall are better for humbucker crunch and lead depends on what you want

  • @MCboy1820 i'd suggest the marshall, vox's are kind of more old school rock and blues where as this marshall could delivere great tones for your style

Is this amp just for home or do you play in a band also?

  • @ManBearPigInc I play in a band... by old school rock you mean what kind of sound? we play a little like sex pistols, green day (their early days)...

  • @MCboy1820 i'd suggest the ma, you could get any sound out the marshall with tweaking, also i don't think the vox would cut it in band practise

  • @ManBearPigInc thank you man, you just made my choice much easier ;) rock on!

  • @MCboy1820 MARSHALL vox just arent accustomed to "rock".

  • @THEGUYD0WNTHESTREET thanks! i appreciate your help! ;)

now i know which one to buy thanks to you guys!

  • @MCboy1820 Blackstar HT 60 watt2 x 12 combo..blows both out of the water. I have owned all 3 of these amps!

  • @pbest75 really? and why is that?

  • @MCboy1820 Just my opinion. The vox won't sound like a Marshall and the Marshall wont sound like a vox. The Blackstar can sound like both and everything in between. It has 3 channels and the amazing ISF switch so you can dial between USA or British sounding amps and any blend of each in between. Its just a much more versatile amp in this price range.

  • @pbest75 if you say so... I never experimented the blackstar so I can't really tell how it differs from the others, but i trust your opinion and it seems that you're right judging from the reviews I see all over the internet! I guess I'll just have to gather more money to buy the blackstar, it's seems to be a great amp!!

thank you very much!!! your help is very much appreciated! ;)

    keep rockin

  • Any good for playing Hendrix?

  • @SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1 if u wanna play hendrix, get the super lead

  • Sounds like bullshit...

  • I dont like the buil-in Overdrive. But a great pedal will do it justice

  • Now that is TONE!!!

  • @rrrrdavid1 I suggest you buy a fender deluxe vm, sounds great. I don't like blackstar, i think the stage 60 costs about $850 or something and I really don't think it's worth the money...

  • @Amplifier800 gibson and marshall suck..... Buy fender.

  • 2:55

I've been danny, now I am tommy!

  • enough gain to compete with the vintage modern though.....

  • could u put the ma 100 watt head through an mg412??

  • it sucks...ma series suck.

  • that was the best playing i heard when you were had the boost

  • is dat the gibson les paul standard plus or a different one because that gives an awsome tone

  • "but i dont like playing clean. so lets get straight to the overdrive" lol. very nice sir. i like the way u think

  • I hate les pauls/Gibson............ How does it sound with Fender/strat??

  • @mcr07853 I guess I must be vintage, because I played through a jcm 900 for a few years until it died. It was built very cheaply like most amps today. Potentiometer pots soldered directly to circuit board. Crappy ones at that. It never did sing like it should have. Don't WASTE your $ on a JCM 900. Never sounded the same night after night. JCM's were over rated...

  • @GibsonLPCFreak91 It's a les paul standard bruh bruh.

  • So obvious he's an acdc fan lol

  • what the hell is it with Gibson and Marshall? why does the combination have to be so-f**king-awesome?

  • @Amplifier800 a match made in heaven :)

  • @Amplifier800 because they are 2 of the most overrated and expensive music products on the market today

  • @TrippyTheShroom That...doesn't even make sense.

  • @AeolianSeventh Gibson=overrated and overpriced...Marshall=overrated and overpriced...so people usually have them in pairs because 1, they actually sound good and 2, its a social thing

  • @TrippyTheShroom I just don't get the exchange "Why do these things sound good?" "Because they're overpriced." I agree that they're very overpriced (generally--the Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute, at least, is priced fairly), I just though it was phrased weirdly.

As for the social thing, though, I think you're mixing cause and effect. It's considered a classic combination because so many people sounded so good with it.

  • @AeolianSeventh it was sort of worded wierdly....but you pretty much got the gist of what i was trying to say...alot of people pair them because they're considered 2 of the best musical products on the market...Gibson and Marshall GENERALLY go hand in hand

  • @TrippyTheShroom Any name brand of any product that has staked a solid reputation over the years will be overpriced.....whether it's Gibson, Marshall, Toyota or Ralph Lauren. Why? Because we are all desperate to fit in, and these companies know we will all pay the price to fit with the "in crowd." I guess that's what you meant by "it's a social thing".

  • @murfdog19 Basically. By social thing I essentially mean that they are a way of bragging. They sound good...play good and are overrall good products, but generally for the price you can get the same thing just cheaper.

Like buying a Bugatti Veyron and bragging to your friends...when in actuality you just spent 1.7 MILLION dollars on a car, when you could have spent 15k and got a car just as efficent.

lol, i've had like 6 people p.m. me and ask what i meant by this...

  • @TrippyTheShroom Yeah. That is especially true with the Gibson crowd. I own two Gibson Les Paul Standards and a Les Paul Traditional. There is a subculture of Gibson people who will ONLY buy Historic Reissue Les Pauls. To them the regular old Gibson guitars are crap, because they are not made with 1959 specs. They spend $6,000 on one guitar The worst part is, most of them can barely play at all. The guitars are just decoration.

  • @murfdog19 Exactly...some people have too much money and too much free time

  • @TrippyTheShroom You are OBVIOUSLY NOT A MUSCIAN... THERE IS NO COMPARISON between Gibson-Marshall combo... NO MATTER WHAT POS AMP-Guitar combo you put up against it... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN MUSIC LAND SON! So dream on that your Epiphone and Crate sounds "great" OR INVEST in GREAT EQUIPMENT!

  • @Fasted2010 Jesus Christ dude, calm the fuck down! I am a musician and (in my personal opinion) a pretty good one. I actually own a Mesa Triple Recto, Blackstar HT-5 combo and about 5 or 6 high end electric guitars...

About the "you get what you pay for in music land"...that is total bullshit and makes me think that you've never even heard of Agile Guitars or Blackstar Amps....My Blackstar HT-5 produces a better tone than any Marshall I've EVER played...and its only 399$

  • @TrippyTheShroom Agile guitars and Blackstar Amps... and your ACTUALLY gonna compare these to a GIBSON and MARSHALL? you went so far as to say "produces better tone than ANY Marshall I've EVER played" and for 399$ you actually happy with you tone... like I said... "DREAM ON" and learn the truth... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... your sound = 3.99 , My sound $10,000 and worth every cent! There is no comparison to high end "PROFESSIONAL" equipment and low end beginner gear... don't hate the truth!

  • @Fasted2010 I'm not going to argue with someone who obviously knows nothing about music...but I've played a ton of Marshalls and several Gibsons...and my Agile (after I changed the pickups) sounds just as good as a Gibson and plays just as good as a Gibson...for around 700$

I would easily pit my Blackstar over AAAAANNNNNNNYYYYYY Marshall in existance (except the JCM800). And honestly, I am very happy with my tone, since it sounds literally just like the one in this video...except 5x cheaper

  • @TrippyTheShroom Amen. I am a Gibson through Marshall player but recently changed to Blackstar. Would take Marshall to build and extremely good amp for me to switch back. For others, Blackstar is actually owned and the amps designed by 4 people who left Marshall due to the quality Marshall was building, to build better amps....and Blackstar was born!

  • @pbest75 I see what you're saying. The other day, I brought my Les Paul into a local shop to have some work done on it and the owner of the shop plugged it into a HT100 stack. I was blown away by the sound, even at a really low volume. Now I want one!

  • @Amplifier800

I think they've worked together to really make the combination excellent, with aim to stop Fender's invasion. That's my opinion :)))

  • @Amplifier800 Plug a Strat into that marshall, switch to the clean; and I guarantee you nothing will sound better.

  • @Amplifier800 And expensive!!!

  • @Amplifier800 That's what you pay for - signature. There are different ways to get to that sound.

  • @Amplifier800 What bout hendrix?

  • hahaha "i dont really like playing clean so well go to the dirty channel." love it

  • the MA series sucks, played it at Guitar Center and it sounded shitty... there are plenty of other amps with higher quality for a lower price

  • @NotoriousYeshi So what amp would you recomend that is better in this price range?

  • @rrrrdavid1 Blackstar HT Stage 60 is heaps better or Peavey 6505 1 x 12 combo

  • These amps are great. I have an old 50 watt Marshall and looking for a new amp so I hope these go to 11

  • whats the diffrence between the 100and 50 wat head is there a sound difference besides the volume or is therere different features coz there a price difence

  • @jhonnyfifafreak11 No different except 100 goes way louder.

  • OD/Crunch sounds good!

  • For a valve amp it dosen't sound that great...

  • @Conorhstone They would have sounded so much better if they were fitted with celestion insted of whatever it got… Even if that's the case I think I'll go for this as my third amp and my first valve amp. Wan't the guitar too though.

  • This amp sounds horrible, huge rip off.

  • Nice. I blew up my old amp head and need to replace it and I'm thinking of getting this. I'm on a tight budget, so is it worth me settling for the 50 watt or spending that little extra for the 100 watt? Bare in mind I do a lot of gigs sometimes in reasonably big venues

  • @smezec Probaly just better off getting the 50w, a lot of people think 100w is twice as loud but to double the sound of a 50w valve amp you'd need a 500w amp!

  • Is the amp loud ? because I only play at home .

  • @superiansuper If you only play at home then there's no point getting a valve amp, there wont be a headphone socket and playing at low volumes wear the valves/tubes out faster

  • Comment removed

  • Are these series of amps better than the Marshall Haze series?

  • I need to know what pickups are in the bridge??

  • @ReDLaNGuiTaR their probably stock

  • @ReDLaNGuiTaR Burstbucker Pro

  • This amp reminds me of a hotrod deville on the overdrive channel. ya know when it farts out and you hear latency in the signal. I wouldn't buy this amp it really sounds bad on the overdrive channel.

  • r u using ma50c o ma100c

  • @ecgedsel he uses the 50c, it's pretty clear, the ma100c is the one higher

  • How the hell did you get such great tone out of that!?

  • TUNE UP!!!

  • this guy looks sad :P I've played this amp and i must say the rhytm playing sucks on this marshall...Its fuzzy and muddy, I'm sure the guy on the clip uses pedal

  • @vroobel1989 No, I can get that sound of mine MA50c without pedal. Just the amp and my Epiphone Les Paul custom.

  • Comment removed

  • @GibsonLPCFreak91 well im going to guess that you diliked this vid

  • Can someone tell me a good metal setting? like lamb of god or bmth? or avenged sevenfold? cuz the tone im getting is VERY muddy/fuzzy

  • @Iaintnosynystergates, what gear do you have?

  • @Iaintnosynystergates those arnt metal bands lmfao and they dont have a metal tone they use so many effects its doesnt matter what amp you use

  • if u look he isnt playing on the combo its the halfstack....

  • @ryanarseneault24 dont think so the halfstack is just poen

  • IF YOU LIKE TO PLAY AC/DC TYPE SHIT THIS AMP IS FINE, BUT METAL

???? FUCK NO JAMZ!!!!!LOL!!!! PIECE OF SHIT!!!!! I HAVE A BUGERA THAT WILL NOT ONLY MATCH, BUT DUST ANY SOUND THAT HEAD HAS TO OFFER AND IT WAS $300 LESS!!!!

  • @michellelynnt30 i was thinking of getting either the marshall ma100h or the bugera 1990 head, which bugera amp do you have, keep hearing about so called problems with the bugera's but they'r well within my buget...

  • @michellelynnt30 strange... i play my MA head through a peavy 5150 cab and it destroys any bugera I've ever heard...

  • hmm could be warmer and fuller

  • whats that for a guitar? whats for color

  • @GibsonLPCFreak91 You call yourself a Gibson Les Paul Custom freak and you don't know what guitar that is? Good job.

  • @ferociouspokemachine owned lmao

  • @ferociouspokemachine hahahah he knows only the custom models :P

  • Sorry the video just made me LOL "I don't like playing clean so I'll just skip straight to the overdrive" haha I want (correction: need) a new Marshall. My MG has decided to blow (after 7 years of heavy use)

  • is this a 50 watt combo ur playing with

  • Great Sounding Gibson and Marshall

  • que ecualizacioin tienes?? tengo un ma100c

  • @123dayma puedes verla a 0:21

perdóname mi español no es muy bueno!

  • I thought John Mayer played a strat and two rock amps?

  • i don´t like the overdrive sound.

sounds too.. i don't know.. unreal.

  • @AnRTPgA

Yeah i get you there, the tones a bit plasticy.

  • Is The MA100H good for Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal

  • @metalmosher451 Yes, but to get a real massive crunch you will need a good overdrive pedal (Not Distortion) like a good tubescreamer or dod 250, and push the front end on the Distortion Channel of the head. This is Standard technique used by tons of metal pros like Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, ect. Marshalls are the some of the very best, you just have to know how to get the tone! Its not like a boogie that comes with loads of gain but crappy tone

  • @Superapeaholic Lol, a boogie does not have a crappy tone... And besides, the amount of gain depends on what amp you are talking about. Mesa boogie has incredibly good amps for high gain, jazz, and everything in between.

  • @ogardsveien Perhaps I shouldnt have been so harsh on Mesa, it was more of a freudian slip cuz Ive never really cared for their high gain stuff. To processed sounding. But if you dig them, thats all that matters

  • Hey...how is this at low apartment volumes...and low recording levels ...is the tone effected greatly by the volume decrease or can you keep it nice with the extra gain settings....thanks

  • I own the MA100C combo. I honestly think the Overdrive and Boost channel sounds kinda iffy man. you gotta crank this thing to get a proper overdrive. But the 100w is Loud, so putting a few stomp boxes in front of her Clean channel leads to a smile. Nice demo dude. Wish I would bought the 100W head so I can use a different cab. Green backs would be a great solution. Rock on dude!

  • will the 50w valve be enough for small/meduim gigs? vox also offer good priced valve amps, anybody got an opion on which is better? thanks

  • @bullbounce2323 dude i just bought the marshall ma 50 combo and believe me it's loud enough, just over 50% of it's maximum volume, it blows you away. only for private and low volume practicing, it doesnt get you the full ammount of overdrive, but for small gigs, and pubs its loud enough.

  • @bullbounce2323 Tube power is soo much more louder than solid state....I tried the 1 watt laney today and I couldn't put it at full power even in the shop as it was a little too loud and would disturb everyone....the 30 watt tube peavey classic 30 is loud enough for small gigs...and I mean its loud enough to deafen you easily...can hardly put it on 1 in the shop without shaking all the other guitars and it was a big shop....50w is more than enough for any situation..then mic it

  • fizzy...

  • best tone ever(Y)(Y)

  • out of tune from 2 mins

  • "I dont relly like playing clean so I just go right to the overdrive channel" lol

  • this dude is crazily good why theheck aren't u famous?

  • ... he praticly bypass the clean channel for the od. that's lame

  • this isnt a tube amp right?

  • @JIgSaw5581 Yep, tube amp.

  • Can you use any effect or pedal?

  • @TomWhite4444 Of course, why couldn't we do it?

  • This guy is using a distortion pedal, I'm pretty sure. By all accounts I've read on the internet, you can't get this sound from an MA amp without an fx pedal.
