  • Higher some hackers and DOS the fuck out of the Mobi and Cedarcom websites.

  • BULL SHIT! The internet update already happened to more than 10,000 lebanese ppl just fucking wait and dont be douche bags

  • u must be a detective !! do something to make this video more popular ! its excellent and makes sense, if what ur saying is true and does get resolved then u truely are my hero !

  • Dude, I'm with the whole "fuck the man" mindset, screw the industry and all that. The way I see this is as a win/win situation. Fuck it, let Mobi have the 3G first, let them use our likes/petition signings, at the end of it all, we get what want, faster internet. I say let the industry do wtv they can to get this started as long as we get our half.

  • boy... you guys have def BIGGER problems down ther. keep your sight on that!

  • Long story short. A private company is welcome to duopolize the internet if the government don't want to do anything about our problem. ( at least we'll have a cheaper / faster internet ! )

Actually the way I see it moby is pushing the gov. to enable 3G even faster to stay ahead of private companies IF WHAT YOU SAY IS CORRECT.

We don't even have an operating government! so the gov must be pressured to move it's ass !

  • @hicham248 Sure, as long as they don't lie to the people to do it. Tricking thousands of people by saying that "Lebanese Want Fast Internet" is a public cause made by ordinary Lebanese citizens and lying about the page's original hosting and funding is a whole different issue. Seeing how much trouble they took to hide those facts, one has to wonder what the real purpose of that page is.

  • LOL !

and you are ? Robinhood ?

  • @Ramilwa7esh iza yalli 3ambi2oolo sa7ee7, lakan embalah robin hood o nus !

  • Seems the page is beginning to reap its profits -transferring all those facbook likes to petition signatures to pressure the parliament for questionable benefit:

    "Lebanese Want Fast Internet:

Don't forget to sign the petition online and post it on your status so your friends can do - thanks!"

  • @ruthlessrumorless well guess what uselessrumorless, you ' showed the facts' and your mission has failed. Your mission to sabotage a group that calls for fast internet and tries to shed light on the practices that led us to this point, has not been working. So I advise you to do something more useful and stay away from sci fi movies..

  • Question to uselessrumorless: tell me please nancy drew your findings. Did aliens from outer space instruct us to promote mobi so that they can insert tracking devices, learn the logarithms of our behavior, and destroy us. Muhahahahha

  • "Muhahahaha"

  • "Who is funding our campaign:

The founders and close friends donated their personal funds to start the campaign as the group is growing we look to receive more help in kind or funds to support our activities and other activities to push for faster internet in Lebanon. Any support should not be conditional and/or attempt to influence the campaign to serve a personal, commercial or political interest. "

WTF! They are even asking for money! How do we take these people down?!

  • Ruthless: Erm, I really don't get your logic - the petition is designed at REDUCING internet costs by removing government interference, incompetent government interference that has led to you having the worst internet service on the planet.

As for the Mobi lawsuit over 3G, it is mainly concerned with the unfair way in which the operations of the new 3G network have been licensed to foreign operators - nothing to do with the increasing of say DSL connection rates.

  • @stupidtron11 Only one thing to understand here: The page has lied, and still is lying.

  • You're acting that if someone is planning a assassination conspiracy with all the dramatic effects and music. Why should I care if the internet comes from CEDARCOM, OGERO or even Mars as long as it is fast (7Mbps). LWFI are demanding it. And btw, you're saying that LWFI are promoting CEDARCOM, well, aren't you doing the same thing for the public sector?

  • @eliemrad88 We mention neither the private, nor the public sector. All we are here to show, is that "Lebanese Have Fast Internet" have lied and deceived people and still try to hide the facts instead of truthfully explaining them. Knowing all that, how do you know they haven't also lied about what they really want to achieve? If you really want to support a fast Internet campaign, chose a more transparent group that doesn't lie so much. Available ones are:

    "Ontornet" and "Flip the Switch".

  • @eliemrad88 "well, aren't you doing the same thing for the public sector?" reread that question several hundred times. Then, think to yourself whether it makes sense or not. If you get to the answer "NO" then rbe7et ma3na.

  • now it feels like watching a movie. wohahahah really cool!! they banned me from the page too for posting a link of the news about mobi. they are dictators same as hitler and some arab and lebanese politicians, they will only hear what they want!

keep up the cool work dude!

lets watch more of this stuff

  • that is true, they banned me from the page just for posting a link of the news about cedarcom and mobi, wohahah ija min yrabbiyoun

  • Hello , Firstly I am very disturbed that you posted my face on the youtube video. Not only is this an infringement of personal space but you have no right to do so without my consent. Your accusations of me are unfounded. I am a 27 yr old woman working on IPR issues across emerging. I have no desire or hidden agenda to promote anything. My interest in this only extends as much as wanting fast reliable internet because I understand its importance in building an economy and a society.

  • @yazziwazzi: Btw wanna know how we were able to link all your profiles together? There's one prominent physical feature of yours that helped a great deal; wanna guess?

  • You can't post on their wall. That's suspicious.

  • dude you are one creepy person........thats all I can say

  • Man - this is not sane....!!!!!!!!!! hahaha - pure entertainment

  • Funny thing is that the same people who claim they want "Internet rights" for the Lebanese are the people who fought and threatened the ministry to prevent the installation of the fiber optics grid and keep Lebanon at the bottom of the world, so that they could keep making profit with the "Worst connection, at the Highest Price"

  • to ruthlessremorseless...i posted a comment 2 days ago but u seem to hav ignored it...maybe cuz it's a bit too logical...ill repost it here and i expect an answer if u expect me or others 2 believe u:

i got a question to ruthlessremorseless...y was ur profile on youtube created 2 days ago? and u'v only uploaded videos related 2 this internet issue...it's like u'r on a mission somehow

  • @ramisalam We are on a mission: to show people the truth and the facts that are being hidden so that they can make their own thoughtful decisions.

  • @ramisalam no sh*t sherlock! their other video SAYS they are on a mission. grow a brain cell.

  • @jaydee1987 sorry i dint see the word "mission"

  • They have just opened a blog and the first post was related to these accusations...

    fastlebanon dot wordpress dot com

  • Instead of answering important facts like why would a private company like Cedarcom randomly give out hosting on its own private servers for a group of 3 people who haven't even started anything yet and even register com, org, net, and mobi domains for it while not even the Cedarcom or their BB-P websites have a dot mobi domain, they simply said: "Cedarcom was kind to host our w w w domains" (Providing no proof of any kind of course).

  • They didn't even mention anything about the "coincidence" that at least 2 of the page owners are professional advertisers with experience in the telecom sector, or at least explain how they met and decided to start this huge cause. Instead of giving any facts in return, they redirect the topic to empty, unbacked words. Apparently, DNS logs of server hosting and background checks are "untrue baseless accusations", but claims like "Cedarcom was kind to host our w w w domains" is a fortified fact.

  • In fact, they have yet to answer anything.

  • Why did you make it so creepy?

  • This video is full of allegations,...

Read our official blog. Link is posted on our facebook!

  • Thank you. Mass spreading this over facebook,I already posted it on their page.

  • it took about an hour to load this, but WOAHH

  • Holy shit they want expensive internet.

100mbit in Sweden costs around 50$

  • i got a question to ruthlessremorseless...y was ur profile on youtube created 2 days ago? and u'v only uploaded videos related 2 this internet issue...it's like u'r on a mission somehow

  • Good point, no wonder why everyone is against the gov building a 3G network. (Although last week, USA launched its 4G network (10GB per month - MF!)) Nevertheless, 3G will be available in Lebanon as of June/July this year according to the Telecommunication Ministry.

  • much support to Ontornet and Flip the Switch!

  • To stay updated, follow the facebook page:

"The Truth Behind Lebanese Want Fast Internet"

  • also found at: The-Truth-Behind-FASTLEBANON d o t TK

  • After people began to ask for explanations, "Lebanese Want Fast Internet" completely disabled posting on their wall and deleted all user posts (leaving only posts made by them).

  • posting disabled on their page.. :) they're not even facing this

  • and who do YOU work for "ruthlessremorseless" ? cedarcom is actually suing the 2 monopolistic mobile phone operators who are already bleeding us dry with cellular com prices, not the state.

the motive for the lawsuit is that these two phone operators are currently installing their 3G networks without having gotten approval from the telecom regulation authority.

  • your reasoning when you say "A handful of ISPs would monopolize the prices and quality of service so that they all make maximum profit" is completely dishonest and a pathetic attempt to manipulate people. if you expect people to support the big fat lying thieves' monopoly out of fear that "someone else might do the same" then think again. they had the chance to provide a decent service, they didnt, hang them, try new ones. basta.

  • @nahkotik No opposition here. That was just an opinion. The only purpose here is that you know the page has lied to you. After that you are free to believe whatever you find right based on truth.

  • @nahkotik "Why don't you come to one of our meetings and we can talk"? Hehehe...

  • @RuthlessRemorseless hehehe indeed. ure busted. doing exactly the same as what you pretend to denounce.

  • But even so, it doesn't matter whether you believe in privatization,or support Mobi. The relevant issue here is that this page lied, and constantly deletes posts and bans people who ask for explanations about the true facts; in fact, at the moment, user posting is completely disabled on the page. The point is, when a group lies and tries to hide all opposing views to it, you should suspect dishonesty.

  • @RuthlessRemorseless I got a message from you in my mail but it seems to have disappeared. You claimed that cedarcom want to "shift" the monopoly towards them. I just want to point out that in this case it is not a monopoly anymore, but becomes a duopoly. Regarding posts being deleted, well if it's their policy then I do not agree but be it. Thank you for raising our awareness. Truth is this is the largest group for promoting a better internet in Lebanon...!

  • So what... I want fast internet and privatization, as it says on the page. If Cedarcom runs this campaign, then I tell them THANK YOU for putting forwards the right causes and demands.

  • i understand your point in the video, but i'm not sure about the last part. why would cedarcom want to STP 3G ? its not something they can do. if their service is not as good as 3G then they need to upgrade.their services by getting cheaper/better connection than 3G. and they can do that by pressuring the goverment into gettting fast DSL or T3.

so m sold in most facts your stating but not that they want to STOP 3G . they can sue government all they want. its lebanon .the gov will always win.

  • @zekiller2 Mobi doesn't like what doesn't bring it profits. The 3G project was going to be run by government owned companies. While the people only care about having good Internet as soon as possible, Mobi only cares about profits and has threatened to sue if work on the project does not stop. Here's the official letter of warning:

  • @RuthlessRemorseless fair enough. i am already following ontornet (greatblog btw)

PM me if there is anyway i can help. im on twitter. i think i can help

  • @zekiller2 Alternatives to "Lebanese Want Fast Internet" include "Ontornet" and "Flip the Switch" which seem less sinister.

Spread this video to everyone you know, don't let anyone be deceived.

To support fast Internet in Lebanon, join one of those groups.

  • @zekiller2 cedarcom is actually suing the 2 monopolistic mobile phone operators who are already bleeding us dry with cellular com prices, not the state.

the motive for the lawsuit is that these two phone operators are currently installing their 3G networks without having gotten approval from the telecom regulation authority.

  • I think who made this video is too silly guy has nothing to do ;-) Guyz just fight to get the fast internet done to this damn country...don't waste others time to blame each others and fight like a dogs...its too irritating&boring to see blame each other but not spend same effort to get things done ! who cares which ISP..DSP..created for wht benefit? i just need fast internet with lower prices !

  • @massouma1 the guy who made the video is doing just what he denounces: a comm action, only he's hired by one of the actual two phone operators that already have mobile phone monopoly and are illegally installing 3G networks to also grab a monopoly internet (or maybe he works for the two together, a collusion wouldn't be surprising)

  • @nahkotik XD

  • ok i don't get the benefit of threatening to sue the government if they launch 3G ?? I mean this is what we all want, why would they do that? Because it would hurt their business ??

I refuse to be abused by a private company to give it lobbying leverage over the government. Thank you very much but no. We see what the corporate world can lead to in the US and i refuse this.

I am a marketing specialist and there's a thin line for agencies not to cross, otherwise they are partners in crime.

  • who cares as long as we get fast cheap internet?

  • OK all that is great.. but we still want fast internet, so who the F cares. Bravo Mobi!

  • Just as clarification i am an ex- Broadband plus Manager and i left since three months, working now in different domain. I volunteered for this campaign as for others (Ontornet..) because i know much of the problems of this sector...once i was working in this domain and second as a frustrated Internet user.

  • @nadinove Better update the server records then, eh? ;)

  • Thanks for giving me credit for being an expert in communication. That is what i basically do, sorry it doesn't fit the profile you have of a social activist, I hope you saw the other campaigns I have worked on also for the benefit of all Lebanese.

Again, you are invited to come sit and talk with us and get to know who we are and the volunteers with us, instead of branding all those people as a conspiracy.

Glad you have so much time to do the film, hope you can done for us next time.

  • @morcoseldaou The infamous "come to one of our meetings & we can talk" reply, yes? >_'

  • @RuthlessRemorseless why don't you go then?

  • 2) They are pressuring the gov to have fast int with private companies a) the government have choices : Start 3G as soon as possible, go public and sign contracts soon on a fixed date " bcz we don't trust it anymore !! " to enable cheap fast internet VERY SOON AND NOT JUST PROMISES Don't do anything about it ... like always, then Mobi or wtvr companies .. at least they are giving us a fast cheap internet

AND THE GOV NEED TO EARN OUR TRUST BY DOING SOMETHING!!

  • There are 2 ways to see this even if you are right ,, specially if you are right .

    1) The creators are professionals and not random Lebanese having problem with their internet : a)that's why the facebook page is doing good " and not fading with a couple 100's like in a few weeks .. b) They know what they are talking about, the root of the problem, and the technical difficulties about the problem which a regular lebanese wouldn't which is also a very positive thing

  • @hicham248 : Great, wish they had told us that earlier though. There's nothing wrong with advertisers running a facebook page with the support of a telecommunications Company, as long as they say it as it is; but when they hide those facts, one has to suspect something fishy. What's important is that we now know that "Lebanese Want Fast Internet" is an advertising campaign supported my Cedarcom; from here, after understanding this reality, it is our choice to either support it or reject it.

  • We are not attempting to judge Cedarcom or Mobi. We only want to clarify one thing:

    The page owners have lied.

If they had admitted their true purpose and support from the start, there would be no issue.

    And for that,

    Do not forgive.

    Do not forget.

    Do not stand for this.

The Lebanese have suffered enough lies and deception.

The Lebanese people will NOT stand for this.

  • Another point to note is that while the Owners of the Fastlebanon campaign have identified themselves by name, you choose to hide behind an anonymous title RuthlessRemorseless, and frankly, the attitude displayed by you is that typical of our incompetent Minister of Telecommunications and his supporters.

  • As an independent Lebanese who has nothing to do with Cedarcom or Mobi, I'm all for privatizing the telecommunications sector. Add the electricity sector to the package and we'll have much better and more reliable services in Lebanon. Privatizing and improving those services are moves that are desperately needed if our country will ever move forward. So...if Mobi or Cedarcom or any other entity is going to sponsor that cause, I'm all for it.

  • @su2dod : Just make sure you know the truths and realities (especially those which are being hidden). After that, its up to you.
