pete sears was used for session work all the time for his piano and organ work why i don't know because he wailed on bass! saw him in frisco a bunch of times golden gate park for free too, a couple of years ago right?

@incongra You're a fool. You think eddie van halen was picking his nose in 1974? He was playing professionally since he was 13. You think nobody heard of eddie in 1974? Go read a book. Go read wikipedia or something.
gfeck, hate to burst your bubble, but that IS (was) Craig Chaquico in the Jefferson Starship t-shirt on the purple guitar...gee maybe that's why it's note for note...
Does it get any better?....right! ronnie dio John oates , or dennis deyounge...no, thats how good these f*cjkers were, incorporporated all the above and then turned around and pre- dated them....all in their 50's..top that, green day!!
lol spinal tap! i know, i love these guys but i can't help but think the same thing sometimes. at least their harmonies were on target. i like this song a lot.
Not a great song..but Craig Chaquico is a fantastic guitarist. I think he was only about 16-17 years old when they recruited him and it was the smartest thing they could have done
saw them live- in I think 1984 - probably the best rock concert I've ever seen; certainly the best sound system. Only rock concert I've ever attended that sounded like sitting in front of a quality stereo system.
Great. Haven't heard this for years. Get a kick out the naive lyric of the times though. Today, a little tiger (house cat) to an Oriental man is good with rice LOL.
The lead guitarist is amazing, is he Jorma Kaukonen? If he was, I must have been blind since 1965! =) I love Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship.
@ladyg8910 OH MY GOD YIOU KNOW GRACE SLICK AND YOU DONT JORMA KAUKONEN!!!!!!!!!!! THE JEFFERSON AIRPLANE AND HOT LEAD GUITARIST!!!!!! ONE OF THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!! ILL SEE HIM LIVE THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST BE CRAZY

A false stereotype of Chinese and, Western people if their ever was. Go on and ride that tiger, but make sure to keep it away from certain Chinese Pharmacists who might want to cut of it's penis for use as an aphrodisiac. Same with the salt, carbon, H20 nonsense. Depends who you would ask. Most people anywhere would say it means sadness and, sorrow, or even joy. Hippy Dippy's sometimes have trouble thinking through the haze.
Great song... makes me wonder why Paul Kantner didn't sing more on their songs. I actually like his voice, it's unique. And Grace, of course, ROCKS on this one. Mickey Thomas looks lost!
Oh right... well I guess it depends on what define as metal. I would correct my self and say early 70's. While I love deep purple and the other predecessors to what I know as metal, it's not quite what I think of as metal.
There are two side to that opinion. I personally didn't really like the older Starship or the stuff after Mickey Thomas left. Part of the reason I like it so well was Craig Qhaquicio's guitar work. That only my opinion...
Grace is sexy then ever here. And this is a great hard fm rockin'song!! keeping the 70's flavour...incredible how it works those "Airplane" vocals in this power early 80's heavy rock track

Yes Mr. Chaquico recorded this in 1974, many years before Eddie Van Halen was even invented. Very under-rated player. Thanks for posting this clip.
