How to pick up and handle your bearded dragon.

My bearded is really nice but VERY fast! Every Time i open the vivarium (unless i'm feeding or stroking him) he kinda just bursts out. Got any tips?

@KingsleyShulu if u just got the beardie then don't pick them up right away but don't be afraid...handle him/her in the tank or in something they can't get away in if u think she will run away...but u can't be scared they most likely won't run away and u can catch her if she does it's not hard...

My beardie is a little skitish. She got that way after vacation when a neighbor didnt take very good care of her. Im sure that if I hold her right, itll be okay...but Im relly just afraid that shell run away. Any help?

OK people i get it, their tails wont break off and if they do they wont grow back, I GOT IT!!!!!!

Beardies are Agamas, they don't drop their tails, and if the tail does come off it will never grow back.

Umm Correct me if i am wrong but i didnt think there tails grew back after they snapped off

Wave there hands means they think your bullying them and surrender,as to another dragon or something.But thanks this helped me kinda.There tail doesn't break off,unless it has tail rot or something too.There tails dont regrow either.

Also don't lower your hand above their heads, or they'll get nervous. Since they naturally live in the desert, they have special sensors on top of their heads in case of aerial attacks from birds.

Mine is about 15 inches and idk, his previous owner could pick him up but he wont let me pick him up, it's been 2 days so I'm not sure

@MrRandomvlogs give him plenty of water. if they dont eat, raise the temperature a bit, it helps a lot.
