HE WAS TO GO WITH HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTERS TO ENGLAND BUT AT THE LAST MINUTE HAD TO STAY. AFTER LOSING HIS 4 DAUGHTERS HE WROTE THE SONG. WHAT AMAZING FAITH!!! HE AND HIS WIFE TRAVELED TO ISREAL TO SPREAD THE WORD OF JESUS. AS GREAT AS THE SONG IS, HIS STORY IS EQUALLY AS SPECIAL.

I love this song so much I just didn't know the storyline behind this. This guy wrote this song on the way to russia becouse he heard that his 4 daughters drowned and his wife was the only survivor, while on the boat to meet his wife he wrote this song in the over the same exact spot where his daughters drowned. :'(
