well Quad players for the most part are snare players with more drums, we play the same difficulty of music, but just with different tones, like a one person bass line. Marching all depends on where you live, and im not sure where you live or what kind of style you guys have, but marching is like trying to squeeze toothpaste out of a tube with your foot in one smooth "roll-through" motion, think of you foot being divided into four sections: Heel(first) Ball(second) Arch(third) Toe(last) Yes?
if you are serious about learning, i reccomend "quad logic" by bill bachman. its great for anybody starting or even for more experienced players. of course then you would want to bring home aset of tenors from your school or get a pad if you are trying to learn.
i was just getting over a bad virus, and my strength was sucking, as well as my wrists, i have carpel tunnel in my right one already..but yea...Question Answered.
Did you make it in?
