@MrNiko14 Way more than enought to build one mean LS engine and swap 'em, Around 22k from ground up. We're talking LT's here though everything is outrageous for these though the oilpan was 750, anyways shortblock has around 15k in it best of everything then the rest you can figure opti, timing, roller rockers.....No expense spared. But I can guarantee I will never have a problem the way I built it and the way I drive it, I just like hearing that NHRA idle through the cruise-ins.
@98tokk They are TSW Montage 19" front are 9.5 and rears are 12's i'm running a 305 tire on rear just like the vettes have its really close to rubbing that polyurethane rear end bumper on rear but they fit. Not sure about cam alone because its not designed for a stock engine its only recommended for for heads headers tuned etc. engines check out thunder racing website.
@98tokk@98tokk I have the smallest illegal muffler available model # 15430S its the outlaw series by flowmaster its a 3" in and out it honestly looks like a catelytic converter so you could lie if you got stopped but i've got true dual 3" exhaust on it out the back now, in this video there was 3" side exhaust, also hooker super comp full length race headers.
Tell me about your head and cam set up?what are the cam spec? what kind of heads are you using? How much should i expect to pay for doing a same as you? She sounds very nice and looks good too.
@98tokk Believe it or not i've got stock heads even with 200 wet shot, I have an unbelieveable engine builder/machinist who builds racing engines for dragsters who put this together for me. Its got top quality parts of course but 2.12 valves comp cams springs and most valve train, scorpion 1.6 roller rockers, the timing gear is for a pre-93 and used an electric moser water pump, cam is comp custom from thunder racing specs are 112deg 236 242 520 540.
@98tokk If your looking to just do the top end you may be able to get by for about 5-6k with this same set up but the whole engine i've got well over 16-17k in. I know that a whole lot but keeping in mind LT1's is one of the most expensive engines to buy for.
@chevelle454ss1 No haven've been able to get a tranny to hold up to this set up long enough to get it to the track yet. Im on the 3rd one, i've found a place called coastalperformancetransmissions that specialize in 4L60E race transmissions im gonna try in a couple of weeks and we'll see how that works.
@transamboss I have been driving mine for 10 years now, and I it drive hard, not to mention a 383 motor swap. Your best bet for a tranny is a six speed...If I haven't killed mine yet, its gotta be bullitt proof (and its never been opened up for service or performance...still stock with stock synchros))

I have problems with the 4L60E also ....once the car broke into the 11s I started to notice the tranny slipping like hell.
