Ipecac is an oil like medicine that people keep on hand in case children eat something they shouldn't. Anybody that swallows it, pukes (throws up)... So, one woman at the convention called that thing Sam does to "pull" the demons, "The Hand of Ipecac"... because he makes them puke out their demons. I thought it was a hilarious thing to call it :-)

I am totally confused about that too. Ruby has offered to sacrifice herself to save Sam, she has gotten tortured by Lilith and Alistair for both of the guys. Even if she is using them, she has still done so much for them that she has proven she isn't truly evil... so I am totally stumped about why people hate her so much. I wasn't thrilled with this actress at first, but I think she really proved herself in episode #9. I like her and loved the scene with Sam.

I think people..and okay, myself included, are mad at the woman, cuz, well first of all, she asked him if he would get back together with Jess now that we've learned Sam's a necrophiliac, and it kinda..tore him down a little, cuz that's his character she's making fun of, and Jensen's said himself, that them as actors get protective of their characters..and we think the woman is basically throwing a low blow at him.

That was definitely a low blow and not appropriate at all. The other woman that asked how his pursuit of Jensen was going was at least referencing something that Jared had said on an interview (while trying -- and succeeding -- to be funny)... She just phrased it wrong. But, the necrophilia question was just wrong IMO.

..but, I think the fan could of worded it nicer than she did, she made it seem like she was making fun of Sam or something, and since Jared plays Sam, she was kinda making fun of him too, she did put Jared on the spot, and I think she kind of made him uncomfortable, and in my book, that makes her question out of line.

I agree. I think the question exceeded making fun of him, I think it was more of a slam... Like Jared has any say over what happens with his character. I think all of these insulting comments are just sour grapes because people hate Ruby the character and anybody with the bad luck to play her. I like Ruby and think she is a wonderful addition to the lot. Having a 'demon spy' could be great as long as they can trust her. Since she offered to sacrifice herself in Jus in Bello, I think she's good.

I didn't post that part because as soon as I started filming, he was out of frame already and I looked away to see him and laughed so loud it was painful... So, the camera was basically looking at a blank wall, then wiggled to the ceiling, jerked around a bit more... then I laughed Really Loud... and I stopped the video set it more firmly on the tripod and started again... My camera wasn't 'spun' unto the tripod yet when he started (I was running late). Sorry for missing it.

Jared was obviously caught off guard, but why is this a bad thing? He didn't take offense to the question because he, himself, brought the subject up again.

Don't get me wrong, I know the question caught him off guard. That was the whole point of it; to gouge his reaction.

But the fact of the matter is that people tend to avoid issues that make them uncomfortable. Jared didn't do that. He did the exact opposite. So I think it's safe to assume that the question, which wasn't about him in the first place, wasn't offensive to his own person.

Are you accustomed to actors being insulted when the character they portray is called out? =/

As a matter of fact, I have met several actors (mostly theater, though) in the past that have gotten very protective of their characters and have found similar questions very offensive. Not their own person, but offensive nonetheless.

I am having severe computer issues right now. I tried pushing 2 out 4 times and it just never seemed to finish. So, then I tried to upload video 4 twice and it didn't go. My son then tried to upload some Windows updates and now my Win32 was corrupted. I tried to 'repair' that and now the system won't come up at all 'Arrrrgh'. I am now on my desktop computer which doesn't have access to the videos... I do have some on an external drive, but I gotta fix my laptop first. Sorry for the delay.
