When you say the oil keeps it crispy for a long time, do you mean if you put it in the refrigerator or something and eat it later then it'll still be crispy?
And one more question, sorry -_-', but do you know what tonkatsu sauce is made of?
@dieAeterne sorry i missed this question!!! no, the oil that i used (oillio oil) fries foods crispy. of course, if you put the battered foods in the fridge and then fry, it will set the batter and make them crispy when fried :) tonkatsu sauce is made from vegetables, fruits and spices.

I love Tonkatsu, I like your idea of using the thin sliced pork.
