We were at mall during the blackout in New York, and by the time we walked home about 6 miles, stores had started to throw food in garbage as hot summer air had damaged the food supply... We were at mall during the blackout in New York, and by the time we walked home about 6 miles, stores had started to throw food in garbage as hot summer air had damaged the food supply... That's when I first saw the system in slow decline w/in hours after the lights went out... no matter what you think, US is not prepared for such a grand scale disaster...
