tried to TCL out of it, doesn't work since you can't move on the X and Z axes anymore, the only way to go is down... and even if you type TCL two feet from the ground to stop and then switch TCL off, you still die if you touch the ground...

If your on the computer you can open the command console and type in; tgm to turn god mode on (makes you invincable.)

It was Duskfang/Dawnfang.

For anyone who wants to know, that happens when you assault Sheogorath. The sword is the Dawnfang, which turns into the DuskFang at dusk and back into the Dawnfang at dawn. You get it by doing a couple of quests for Sheogorath. All of this is from the Shimmering Isles and you can't get any of the stuff without it.
