BET could use a visit from Total TV Programming Makeovers! O there isn't any such show. Soo much black talent wasted, mis-used & unused. O suppose there are people who want to see JayZ & Beyonce All day long..smh too much hip hop & gangster shows. Where are the cartoon artist for respectable cartoon shows No where to be found! So many other topics they talk about & portray. I No longer have BET ain't gettin the money

BET is owned and managed by Viacom. That company represents a sixth of the entire US media environment. Viacom is owned and managed by a certain Sumner Redstone, a jewish billionaire. The 5 other media corporations are also owned by.....jewish people. Didn't you know?

BET wasn't always like this. It wasn't until Viacom took ever that the powers thought they knew what the "black culture" was all about, thus the misguided caracatures (sp?) they show on a daily basis that is supposed to represent black people. Since people believe whatever they see, they think this represents all blacks. Well it doesn't.

@Sarahhh1213 Well Sarah, I think you are getting caught up in the name of the awards verses the content. Mainstream media, i.e. white, does not show America the best of the black community, thus we have shows that salute those that are doing things. Why doesn't anyone question the thousands of white images we see on television on a daily basis. CBS, NBC, ABC doesn't need to be called White Entertainment TV because it's obvious that it is.

Comment to the sister with the glasses: What are you talking about shows being submitted to BET? As if BET is not responsible? If they CHOOSE those particular "submissions" - that's what they want. That's the agenda. To everyone: The solution is NOT to complain and CONTINUE watching ourselves be debased and degraded.

The solution is to TAKE ACTION by speaking with our dollars. We must get organized, write the advertisers and BOYCOTT BET and the companies who place Ads with them.
