  • Thanks for the guide, but I thought I'd add here that the 2001 Maxima GLE is a bit different. I wasn't able to access the fog lights from above, so I had to go from underneath.

  • I have a maxima 2000 GXE but without origins foglifht. can I put them with out a new wires cause i dont have the foglight button on turn signal

  • @louisalcha I don't have this car to look at so I am not sure. Often vehicles are wired so you could install the switch and the lights. Look to see if there are harnesses tied offf to the frame where the foglights should go. If there is then that is what you need to do. If you can't find the harnesses then the car is probably not wired. You could install the lights then wire an aftermarket switch in that case.

  • Thank you for the help, changed the light , problem is that those 10mm screws were so rusted on the main head light and fog light that they snapped.

    Any advise?

  • @MrNumby1 I hate rust. Do those bolts go in to clips or to the body of the car itself? I can't remember. If they went in to little clips you can remove the clips pick up new ones at the hardware store and re-install. If they go in to the body see if you can get pliers or vise grips on the other end of the bolt and turn them the opposite way to remove.

  • Thank you i was about to try to do it from the bottom and this was MUCH easier.

  • Thank you for making this so easy...much appreciated

  • very good instructions.. although there is a bit diff but it works.. thanks
