I ditched Verizon Wireless's broadband service because it was a dial up joke and the service would disconnect periodically. I just went with the 2 year contract with Clearwire and locked in my rate and rented the equipment and avoided to $50 fee upping the time to a 2 year contract. Yes that is also quite risky if one has to relocate to an area without coverage but affordability and price you are not going to beat.
Luckily clearwire is in the process of upping their speeds to 6 meg in august. Clearwire isn't bad if your near a tower and have at least a 1.5 meg speed.
Clearwire is so fucking horrible when you play any online game(like COD4/WAW, and any online game console or pc) that you will suck 70% - 90% of the time with shitwire, But if you get a real good internet (comcast, or any good internet company that is WIRED not wireless) you will dominate 90%-100% unless you cant play worth of shit. I play real good on COD4/WAW but with shitwire it TOTALLY cripple and wrecked my momentum so think twice and hell mabe 3 times be4 you get lured with their bullshit!

Hey, I'm no dummy. I had clearwire before, and I had no lag when I was playing Final Fantasy XI with it. I was pretty happy, so I figured I'd try them out again, since qwest is a pile of crap. Turns out Clearwire has an incredibly ridiculous NO BITTORRENT and NO P2P policy, and they will choke the shit out of your internet if they even THINK that you're using it (even if you're downloading Linux ISO's using bit torrent, which is prefferred by many distro's). I hope clearwire goes out of biz.
