It's not that they ripped it off by using the chords or a similar progression. They used the actual chords in the key of C, the MELODY, and the rhythm (spacing) of it.

It's not a stretch at all for bands to rip each other off. Look at Coldplay with REM and Steve Vai, or the Jonas Bros ripping off the Beatles.

The name of the song is Forever, and if you listen closely, there is a pretty big difference. Also, whoever thinks that this song is a rip off of Kean's "Everybodys Chaning" must have quite an active imagination, because i just listened to it and that would be one hell of a stretch.
