Thank you, thank you for posting this. Even tho my bro-in-law is a barbershopper, it's these guys who really turned me onto its beauty! Great singing, great humor! Thanks again!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE!!!!! these guys are THE reason i love barbershop...fortunately i got to see them a few times... awesome!!! btw if you go to a barbershop show to watch then you have mistaken the point... the picture doesnt matter... although they had a lot of physical humor in their stuff, but thanks a bunch for doing this!!! i along with many people im sure appreciate this!
Gas House Gang was my introduction to barbershopping as well. I was lucky enough to see them in concert in CT probably 10 years ago... it was them and the New Tradition Quartet who came out of retirement for the concert. I think the bass' son was singing in an a cappella group on the show too?
Anyway, it was awesome... both quartets sang incredibly well and were fantastically funny. Needless to say I'm hooked. Happily :)
This song is how I was introduced to GHG and, by extension, barbershop as a whole. A friend pointed it out to me when he heard I was in my school's production of The Magic Flute. (And thank God he did!)
This video is hilarious--Thanks for posting! Interesting note: Chris from Vocal Spectrum has the same mannerisms as Jim Henry on the VS shows (perhaps in tribute).
