  • saw this in 1986...awesome!

  • This is just one of many reasons why this show is AWESOME!

  • When Lemmy pointed and said "But thats the way I like it baby I dont want to live forever" I felt as though my soul was questioned I quickly responded "Yes Sir"

  • always on top of those sols aren't camera/editor, lmfao

  • i remember when i first saw this and realised, lemmy is the bollocks

  • to my mates who understand this ..............

  • why are there two guitarists here? One either side of Lemmy

  • @llangennith Phil Campbell 1984-Present, Wurzel 1984-1995 who sadly is no longer with us RIP Wurz

  • awesome how they focus on the BASE guitar when the first guitarist starts the solo... then they focus on the other BAES guitar when the second guitarist starts the solo.

  • Its hard to believe that dave grohl owns that v now

  • @jcortinas13 shame it went to such a shit player in a shit band! \m/

  • I would have loved to have been a student at the Young One's house. Motorhead playing in the front room - fuck YEAH!

  • If it wasnt for The Young Ones , I'd have never discovered Motorhead or The Damned! Before that i was only a 10 year old kid who just listened to Black Sabbath & Led Zeppelin & CCR, never knew what metal or punk was!

  • the greatest band ever on the young ones!!!

  • 14 people forgot the joker...

  • Riks failed attempt at snatch and run. priceless.

  • motorhead are very metal

  • R.I.P Wurzel mate.

  • lollololololololololololololol x10000000000000000000000000000000000 best'ts one ever!!!! this was on dick and dom in the bungerlow at end of show it was this

    but it was 2000-2007 lol

  • What garage did they find this "band" in?

  • 14 people didn't have the Ace of Spades in their poker hand.

  • @scruffziller I saw Motorhead play at a beer barn in Adelaide, South Australia, back in 1984. And over the years I've seen all of the very best of heavy bands. But that Motorhead night in 1984 was without exception the loudest gig I've ever attended. It was absolutely brutal. I remember Lemmy, after the first song, looking down at us in the front row, saying "Hurts, doesn't it". And it effing well did. I was deaf for days afterwards.

  • @bezerker5051 That kicks ASS!!!!!

  • When I saw this episode on TV (MTV I think) in the late '80s, it was my first intro to Motorhead.

  • RIP Wurzel

  • R.I.P. Wurzel

  • RIP Wurzel :(

  • I've always found hysterical how during the guitar solos, you never actually see the player soloing on camera during his solo. First the camera zooms in on Phil Campbell as Wurzel's solo starts, then it cuts to Wurzel during Phil's solo, then back to Phil when Wurzel plays his second solo.

  • Dave Grohl's V FTW

  • Motorhead are amazing ROCK n Roll they dont make them like this anymore! The 14 dislikes are the women lemmy hasnt called back!

  • Mental. Totally mental! Hurrah!

  • wow 14 people hit the wrong button and disliked this

  • Comment removed

  • MUSIC!->guitar<

  • The Stache on the drummer is sooo EPIC!

  • @GuerreroUrbano100 You mean Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor on drums.

  • this was the first time i saw motorhead, when they apeared on the young ones, i was about 5 years old. im 35 now and have been a motorhead fan ever since that first day i saw them.

  • I like how the camera focuses on the rhythm guitar player during the guitar solo :-)

  • @seandavey I saw that too after you mentioned it. Funny shit, don't think the audience got the joke though.

  • this was brilliant when Motorhead did this song in the Young Ones. That bit where vivian just getts the donut and stuffs it into his mouth and sticks two fingers up to the woman was class only ade and rick could come up with something as funny as that the bottom series there both in as well is great too but you carn't beat the Young ones can you folks there the best of all time and will remain class for decades to come.

  • @helraiser666painkil doughnut

  • I wonder why Lemmy always puts the microphone higher than him so he can look up .

  • @FireLuigi872 He once said in a interview (about 25 years ago lol) that he used to get stage fright, he sets the mic that high so that he doesn't have to look at the audience. It stuck and he still does it now

  • this was the best musical interlude of the seris!

  • A great tv show with one of the grearest bands!

  • #1 Bassist/ Singer Lemmy #2 Tom Araya!

  • up next: Lady Ga Ga, poker face.

    lol!

  • Young Ones, Damned, Video Nasty thats the tops ( for all you metal fans Lemmy helped out on bass for the Damned for a bit !!!) then Nine below Zero, this one and then Madness, any complaints I'll ask Mr Balovski to escort you from the house, and thats Brian Damage, not cuddly Jertsi

  • AWESOME.

  • So gritty.

  • FUCKING AWESOME!

  • HA. the camera zoomed in on the guitar playing rhythm each time when they were switching off leads, when it was supposed to zoom in on the lead guitar!!!

  • @casbah1982

Schoolboy error. Directors do it all the time don't they.

  • Next thing...FUCKING MOTORHEAD IS IN THE KITCHEN!!!11!!!1!

  • didthey ever had a 2nd guitarplayer?

  • @rexkommher1 yes but he seemed to have come and gone quick. Not sure really who we was?

  • @hampulator well, he didn't EXACTLY come and go quick. He was called Wurzel (real name, Mick Burston), and he was in the band for 10 years (84-94). Hell, in MH's 35+ year run, I guess 10 years can be seen as "quickly" in the big picture. He and Phil Campbell joined the band at the same time, and when Wurz left, they returned to the 3-piece lineup that I think we all agree, suits them a bit better. But, he did play on some great tunes, most noteably Killed By Death!!!!!

  • Photos 50p, Jesus I just spent a fiver at Tesco!!

  • If you were invited on the young ones you had made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • Motörhead in performing in their house and they go to the station? WTF?!

  • I'm so stunned that 11 people suck so badly, I can't even come up with anything clever to say about those 11...did I say people? 11 people are living embodiments of FAILURE!!!!

  • All the Young Ones cutscenes for this video were filmed in Bristol at Temple Meads Station, the outside of the house was they lived in is in Bristol too in the Victoria Park area.

It's wierd, everytime I walk in to the station here I hear this song lol

  • Awesome, I haven't seen this since it originally aired. Geez has it been that long?

I can't be getting this old, Nooooo!

  • what's the make of that flat top flying v?

  • @StupidChicagoPunk My guess would be it's a Gibson

  • @Gecko7291971 it's made by Dave Dearnaley in Cardiff Wales UK

  • You know this show is good because Motorhead was in it

  • Couldn't stop laughing when vyvyan crammed the doughnut in to his gob and stuck his fingers up at the cashier

  • @BlazingFury07 Nor could she!

  • thats how you do it...zoom in on the rhythm guitarist during the solo lol

  • @OpieCavalera2 : Seems to happen a lot. ;-) Check out Mercyful Fate Evil live in Sao Paulo, they zoom in on the bassist. :-D oh yeah, and it's a kickass song.

  • WE NEED FAST EDDY!!!!

  • eleven ppl thinks green day is the best band in the world just before blink 182

  • MUSIC!!!!!

    "starts headbanging"

  • Motorhead and the Young Ones, what better combination could you wish for?

  • 11 people don like motorhead songs, they like gagas and biebers songs...lllooolll

  • as Butthead once (correctly) said: "Lemmy can appear in any damn video he wants."

  • Ah yes.. The first time I ever heard Motorhead was on this episode of The Young Ones... Classic, Godlike speed metal combined with on of the funniest TV shows ever... "YES we've got a video!!!"...

Driving instructor from Johannesburg episode: "What's the procedure for the approach of a humpback bridge?

VAMPIRE: Approaching a humpback bridge, you should slow down and check in both rear view mirrors. If nobody is behind you should RIP OUT THE VIRGIN'S THROAT AND....

    Classic stuff...

  • I've loved Motorhead since 1982! I live by the metal, I'll die by the metal

    \m/(>.<)\m/

  • Yes, oh yeah!!

  • first time i saw Motorhead was on Saturday night live playin this . i was like what the fuck ! this is awesome . probaly 30yrs ago and still awesome

  • @unholy1967 First time I saw Motorhead was this right here on MTV. WTF, yes, but I didn't know what I was seeing, and missed out till now. Trying to make up for lost time! Fuck, this band is good!

  • Phil Campbell on the Flying V. Wurzel fender Strat. Philthy Drums Lemmy Bass/Throat (Throiyt)

  • @hoppinonabronzeleg thanks for clarifying Phil/Wurzel . . . and after this performance, didn't Philthy get replaced by Pete Gill?

  • 0:41 White Ford Crapi MkI Bristol train station car park. 1:12 Apathetic British Rail staff - Where are they now? . . . 1:27 Vyvyan eats pastry flicks the vees - priceless

  • Fuck yeah.

  • 1:30 the best moment. thumbs up, if you're agree

  • I'am amazed at myself how fast my beer goes down when I sit here listening to Motorhead tunes! Unbelievable!

  • Dude, top class stuff. It was that very day I fell in love with Motorhead, and this song in particular. Still listen to it pretty regularly even now.

Also THE YOUNG ONES RULE. One of the few good things about the early eighties.

  • wish i could do that,

    MUSIC!

then motorhead blows the roof off the dump.

  • @newaver64 That was the very day and the very tune that made me fall in love with Motorhead. THE YOUNG ONES RULE, MOTORHEAD RULE, YOU RULE, I RULE WE ALL RULE (I'm sorry I think I may be having a stroke).

  • @newaver64 Mike was just that cool.

  • "How come Lemmy has two cocoa puffs stuck to his cheek?"

  • Wow 50p for a set of passport photo's. Good times :)

  • cue hair on back of head...

  • My God, this just proves how much today's music SUCKS ASS!!

    Get some balls musicians!

  • why is the biker from the village people lip sinking to ministry? the talking heads through the Jonas brothers have expanded the art but this is lyrical bukkake.

  • @mc21b Do you mean Lip Synching? When Ministry were in short pants there was Motorhead..

  • I saw this when I was 13 or 14. MTV did the re-runs(86 or 87.)

Saw the great music on this show for the first time.

  • A lot of the musical acts were total shite,Amazulu, the Body talk dickhead. Then you had the total awesomeness of Motorhead,Madness weren't bad either.

  • @laiosto The Damned were also good. "Video Nasty" was written just for the show.

  • @jakovasaur LOL. Its those aviator shades.

  • @jakovasaur Saying Motorhead is Glam is like saying Slayer are Pop...

    NO WAY!!!!

  • @GGGriggs I guess picking up on sarcasm is lost art.

  • @jakovasaur It's tough picking up on sarcasm when you're reading something written on the computer...

    :-)

  • @GGGriggs

Man. You talk crap! Justin Bieber is like, pure death metal. Lady Gaga is hardcore rock!

(And now I'm gonna take off my Trollface mask and say you're right :P )

  • @jakovasaur those worts on Lemmy's face are not glam make up. He is that pretty naturally...

  • @jakovasaur ... how is the band that created groove metal and introduced Biker mentality to metal "glam"? oh lemme guess, your one of those poser ass folk who think anything other than death or black metal is for pussies.. STFU ya pussy.

  • @S0ryiu Hey idiot! Ever hear of a little thing called sarcasm? Saying Motörhead is glam is so completely absurd, I just assumed people would get the joke. I didn't take into account how clueless the current teen to 20's generation is. I guess watching shows like Family Guy with its in your face, overly obvious, unfunny brand of comedy is turning you guys into retards. Hell, Lemmy isn't glamorous enough to be to be fuckin trash man! At least I got that fag GGGriggs to have the #1 rated comment.

  • @jakovasaur When you consider the fact that the average internet comment is dead serious (and usualy stupid as hell) a comment like yours would come as no suprise. To be honest, I think you were serious and are just trying to save face by making me look bad (which in turn makes you look like an ass as well as misinformed.)

  • @S0ryiu Well I have proof. If you look back at pages 8 & 9 of the comments, you'll see some responses from people who got the joke and also me explaining the obvious to GGGriggs. After you read those, I expect a thorough apology, no less than 50 words!

  • @jakovasaur Here's my apology: bite me.

  • noob camera man, he switch guitar players wrongs with the solo

  • As of today ten (10) pig wankers have zero taste in music, not to mention Britcom.

  • This is, by far, the coolest thing - EVER!!!!!

  • BUGGERATION!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Philty is rad!

  • 10 people are just plain stupid.

  • I forgot about this show ...The Young Ones. they played it TV in America back in the 80's. No wonder I remember such an obsecure show. They had bands like Motorhead on their show. That's why.

  • Happy Birthday Lemmy, you made to 65! But I kinda have the feeling you won't retire... :-)

  • Excelenteeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! demasiadoooooooo!! Motorhead en Lima en Abrillll :D!!!!

  • This was the very first episode of the young ones i ever saw. I was about 8 years old. Hooked on heavy metal ever since...

  • Hahahha I remember watching every episode of this brilliant series when it was first broadcast! This clip is by far the funniest in my opinion (great performance by Motorhead!) - and it was partly filmed on Bristol Temple Meads station, somewhere I've spent many a happy hour waiting for and changing trains! The newsagent and sandwich stalls have long gone, replaced by big chains that feature on most stations nowadays. Love the way the staff look at Rik and Ade!

  • grandiiii

  • OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW!!

  • this music is eternal!

  • I'm in love with Lemmy! Warts an' all LOL!

What a fab combination The Young Ones and Motorhead.

  • I LOVE this version!!!

  • I miss d MOTORHEAD quartet. :-(

  • nice i used to watch this show when i was a kid...and motorhead kick ass!

  • 10 people still live under the Thatcherite Junta.

  • person @ the counter was laughing at Ade !

  • Best heavy metal song ever! and with fantastic lyrics to boot, sung by ' the ugliest band on earth' ...brilliant!.... nice post..

  • @tarpouff IKR!!!!

  • please join the facebook group to get motorhead to number 1 this christmas...

  • dont know the show but it had some good spezial guests^^

  • ahaha during the solos, it is alway the one doing the rhythm who is filmed

    1:46 1:53 1:58

  • I though Motörhead was a trio back then. Who's the guy with the flying V?

  • @Darkserpentes Their line up changed quite a lot in the md 80's

  • @Darkserpentes i think it's phil campbell, current guitarist

    other one is würzel

  • @Tarpouff You might be right. He does look like phil. I just thougt this was from earlier when he wasn't in the band.

  • @Darkserpentes , that was wurzel, he was on orgasmatron tour.

  • @Darkserpentes This was the debut of the two guitar lineup of Phil and Wurzel. Wurzel left Motorhead around '94-'95ish. Now they are back to the 3 man lineup.

  • @jerryskid1 thanks was wondering about the 4 man lineup

  • Buy the set, huh...? Actually, that's a fucking GREAT idea! I think i will. Thumbs up.

  • The Young Ones, one of the greatest comedy shows of all time!!! Later the series Bottom was fucking epic!!!! This song will never age, ROCK ON!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT SHOW ...GREAT MUSIC :D

  • wow.. machine laugh since 80s =D didnt expect

  • jejeje greattttt!!!!

    life to motorhead

  • I forgot the young ones had a music guest, it wasn't weird either, but if theoffice had a guest star it would look comletely wrong!!

  • @thesnowdens If I remember rightly, they -had- to have a music section. Something about the BBC not funding for any more comedies at the time. So they included a musical guest each time to get away with calling it a variety show or somet..

  • Man back when Motorhead was great. Miss Fast Eddie

  • @Bastige56

Dunno what planet you're on if you think Motorhead's lost any greatness due to the loss of Eddie?!

  • MUSIC!!!!

  • nearly choked laughing at 1:25 the first time I saw this!

  • the best

  • i am only 14 and when my dad used to show me all these programs like young ones bottom fast show dangerous brother etc etc i loved them they were so funny

  • wait, who was doing the solo?

  • @aarossell Dude, I was asking that to myself .... who the fk is doing the solo? ....

  • @ferdaniel3 fast eddie clark

  • @aarossell me

  • @aarossell

It swaps between Wurzel, Phil Campbell, then back to Wurzel. They re-recorded the track to make it seem purely live, and the camerman wasn't told where to focus during certain parts of the performance.

  • Vivian, Mike, PRick, and Neil plus Lemmy rules~!

  • soooo gritty, makes me wanna cry and smash someones face, ahhahahaha

  • Who's better Lemmy or God, Uhhhh.Lemmy, TRICK QUESTION LEMMY IS GOD!!!

  • By far my favourite episode. Loved the young ones and motorhead.

    Couldn't get a better combo.

  • Seeing this episode and hearing this incredible song turned me on to Metallica & thrash metal 22 years ago!!!!

  • it was in game of Tony Hawk

  • LEMMY IS GOD

  • @Froxekz helllllllll yeah

  • PRICELESS YET TIMELESS.
