@MrSmokeythedragon [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about early maturing female sprinters]: Miss Parry was only 12 years of age in the summer of 1977. At the time, a lot of people genuinely felt that she had a golden future in athletics ahead of her. However, it was not to be. Her personal best time for the 100 metres (as an adult) was 11.60 - respectable, but a long way below world-class. It is also worth mentioning that Miss Parry was only 15 years of age when she ran her
@MrSmokeythedragon [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about early maturing female athletes]: lifetime personal best time for the 100 metres sprint - back in 1980. Miss Parry is by no means the only female athlete who reached her physical peak at the tender age of 15; most top athletics coaches in this country probably know of several other cases of female track and field competitors whose performances did not improve at all after that age. It is, however, very rare indeed

I have no idea what the Jamaican 100 metres record (for a girl of that age) is, but to be honest, I would be astonished if it less than 11.95 (electronically timed).
@9ftorres7 No. However, there is a possiblilty that, in about ten years' time, she will break Florence Griffith-Joyner's world record of 10.49 seconds (which was set in South Korea, way back in September 1988). There is also a chance that Miss Clifton will eventually take away Flo-Jo's 200 metres world record (which was also set in September '88).
@ShereProductions um no because she's too Busy doing the right Thing and making good caree being a atheletic " sorry but she's not Like You " as You can See On this video :)
WTF man I'm now allowed to sprint 100m because I just turned 15 because in Germany you are allowed to Sprint 100m with 15! My personal best time in 75m was 7.38s btw :P
@StefanKahler Well, the 100 metres world record (for a 15-year-old youth) is around 10.34 seconds or thereabouts - in other words, 0.76 of a second outside Mr Bolt's adult WR for that distance.
When Bolt was 15 years of age (in the summer of 2002), he was still concentrating on the 200 and 400 metres events ... and I don't think that he competed in any official 100 metres sprint races at that age.
When the great Valeriy Borzov was 15 years of age (in the summer of 1965) his personal best
@StefanKahler [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about world-class times for youths under 16 years of age]: time for the 100 metres was 10.7 (hand-timed). Just over 7 years later, in September 1972, Borzov stunned the American media by winning both sprint events - the 100 and 200m - at the Olympic Games in Munich. His personal best times (for the short sprint distance) as an adult were: 10.0 (hand timed) and 10.07 (electronically timed).
@StefanKahler Liar, liar ... pants on fire. There is absolutely NO WAY that you are capable of sprinting 75 metres in a time of 7.38 seconds !! How do I know that? Because even big Usain Bolt - who, as we all know, is the fastest sprinter on God's Earth at the present time - would be incapable of running that distance in under 7.40 seconds! (Incidentally, the world record for the [indoor] 60 metres sprint is 6.39; held by Maurice Greene of the U.S.A.)
@markieboyuk I think there abit Young to knoe what even steroids Is' unlike You cause You proble Take It ' these girls are Like 7 years Old' who living there dreams who trains to be a champion at Atheletic's' not Be Like cheater's and haterz Like You :)
@MsJaney92 I'm not a cheater, not a hater, never taken steroids, never will. I was just expressing my surprise at the size and development of a 7 year old child.. My comment was intended to be tongue in cheek and it would appear that yours is a bit of an unnecessary attack on mine without understanding what I actually meant.
@veitmaneesePiGmEGoaT At forty-six years of age, I don' t think that I have quite got to that juncture in life yet! I don't know how fast I could run the 100 metres today ... but I suspect it would be considerably faster than 14.07. Mind you, I am sure that Kayla Clifton (who is now nine years of age) can run the 100 in a considerably faster time than 14.07 seconds now, too!
Lane 2 - it's like on Mario Kart when you press accelerate at the wrong time and your wheels just spin as you're stationary! Meanwhile Lane 4 got it just right, half way between 2 and 3!!

@ChineezFTW
Yes I know ;)
by the way, do you know a "really good" time for my age in 100 meters? I have never run 100m before, only in my free times :P
StefanKahler 5 months ago

@StefanKahler cool story bro

STFU, young man!

The sad moment when a 7 year old can almost beat you in the 100m sprint
veitmaneesePiGmEGoaT 5 months ago
