  • where can i find round bark like this?

  • @thapurps420DANK

I found this from a plant

  • did you treat the bark?

  • @djallusive

    yes.

  • @Jon3800 can i grab any branch from outside and treat it?

  • @djallusive

depends what T you have. If you using bark for a high humidity species...then you're better off with cork bark from a pet store. Treating wood on low heat in the oven for 20 minutes will sterilize the bark, but I warn you now it will not prevent it from molding up in the future.

  • what would you say is the maximum size of tarantula to keep in a critter keeper?

    for arboreals, i mean.

  • 4-5 inches. It'll be perfect for the new avic coming in tomorrow

  • So i'd imagine that i would be able to keep an adult sized avic for its whole life?

they don't get much bigger than that

    thanks man!

can't wait to see the new guy

  • its good for one that size. And its a she ;)

  • oh a female! thats great

  • Comment removed

  • Really? The guy that sold her to me said to buy it at my own risk and I see why. I WISH she was just skittish but all she seems to know is violence lol.

  • Well at least he is considerate enough to warn you about them as they're highly venomous tarantulas

  • I agree about this summer it's 70 f 21 c it hasn't had 1 thunderstorm all year. It's almost always cloudy, and Humid. Most boring summer I can remember.

  • lugardis aren't that really bad tempered, my adult female is just skittish. The murinus is sure hell vicious

  • hey jon if misting only keeps a tank humid for a few hours then how doe your spiders survive all week

    good video

  • pour water over the substrate

  • it has rained for the past week where i live :(

  • Ya, same here

  • sweet setup jon would u recommend having vermicullite in every arboreal enclosure? or is misting the tank weekly going to be humid enough?

  • yes, misting unfortunately only helps keep the humidity in for a couple of hours
