Must say again for the dumb asses. It was a real leg, and my stump was inside the artificial leg socket and had to be sawed to get it out. The heat alone from the saw burned me.

it was my artificial leg being sawed off. made too small. 40 minutes to saw off. was wheelchair bound for 8 weeks.

Nope. It really was stuck and no lube would do the job. Had to have it cut off at the ER......... Trust me, it was fucked, was in a wheel chair for 8 weeks while I had a new socket made.

when you loose your leg you must be traumatized when you look there abd the leg is gone, but does that feeling go away in time? do you get use to it?

there's something called phantom limb syndrome that's all mysterious for neurologists, when if someone slides something in the space your leg was in, you get all offensive because you still feel your leg there, like it was a phantom limb. doesn't just happen with legs, happens with other amputated limbs. there's a book about it by Ramachandran.
