  • too cute!

  • Aww she wants outside :P

  • look at bushy tail!!! I want to pet it!!!

  • Ffff omg she's so pretty c:

  • What a pretty girl, but hasn't anyone taught her not to chew on the chair? D:

  • @LisaMCooper lol nope! Foxes are naturally destructive critters and this is only a small, a very small example. I wouldn't even cadll this destructive compared what she has done. hahaha

  • (ˆ◡ˆ)

  • Is she spayed? Does she call in the spring?

  • @fredsayshello Yes she is spayed and yes she will call any time I play back her voice to her. :o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2

Is her fur fluffy or wire like?

  • @Voidjanrulerserus Fluffy and soft, that's why foxes are hunted and trapped for their fur.

  • She is beautiful. I can tell you take really good care of her.

  • shes such a beautiful fox. her coat is very clean and thick.

  • @berryawesome16 Aww thanks so much for dropping by and leaving the awesome comment! :o)

  • I love kevie! she's so adorable. I'm a big fan of foxes and I'm planning on getting my license once I get settled in after I graduate from college. Any tips?

  • aww its so adorable, so did you rescue this one? or are you just taking care of it for a while? I love it's coat it's so FLUFFY! :D

  • @SilverPinkBunny The profile page, Dear. Read the profile page please. :o)

  • This makes me wanna get a pet fox

  • shes so cute

  • 0:53 oh dont mind me im just gonna eat this chair now

  • She's amazing! You can definitely see how fox can use that incredible pitch in the wild.

  • do u need any special licenses to own a fox? i live in canada

  • Momma, take me outside to play!

  • omg I thought it would bark ... no its meows and screams O.O

  • @Frikkyish they also make a sort of buzzzy clucking sound too.

  • Shes such a pretty girl! <3

  • What do they eat? Also, could you give me the gist of what it takes to care for them, before I look into it seriously? I'd love to rescue/adopt!:)

  • darn i wish i could own a fox they are so much better then dogs & by owning a fox you are protecting her from hunters & pochers great job

  • i still say its funny, the only time my boxxy makes that sound is to call me to her. other than that she wines and barks, but its different than a dogs whine or bark. Really hard to explain in words.

  • @sum0f1 In a lot of your footage of Boxxy, she reminds me so much of our old buddy Bridgie. She didn't make this sound either but more of a whine or bark like you described that Boxxy makes. I have some of Bridgie's sounds uploaded, check them out. :o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2

Is kevie still alive, we have not seen ay new videos

  • @79Testo Yes I just uploaded a new one that was filmed today! :o)

  • What sort of enrichment do you provide for them? A proper outlet for their energies may keep them from chewing your furniture.

  • @CountryBuff08 A proper outlet would electrocute the foxes. :oP

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Ha ha. What I mean is, how much exercise do they get? A ball or some other item they may chew and play with will use up a lot of their energy, and provide an opportunity for them to us their natural instincts.

  • @SlashJunky

Don't blame the furries! What's all that for?

  • @SlashJunky I'm not a furry. Awful presumptious of you to think I am don't you think? What's sad is that you're too ignorant to read the description. She's vocalizing to a recorded playback of herself. It's her own voice she is vocalizing to.

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Exactly, he's saying she's looking for the fox she hears not knowing it's her own voice. It's a bit like following your own echo through a cave.

  • @SlashJunky you sir are an idiot not all furries are fascinated with foxes

  • Aww, Kevie is so cute!

  • Whta kind of fox is that???

Its like a red fox, but it's tail is so FLUFFY!

  • @HonestlySmile Blocked for being an ignorant troll loser!

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Flagged that guy for spam.

  • @RedNForcer Thank you! :o) There's another user, SuzannaMattson333, that I had to flag for spam on several of my other videos for posting outside links and for telling people to check out her channel because she has "a pet fox". Check out More Kevie Chatters. UGH! Some people!

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Yep,total idiots!

  • @HonestlySmile Dude, shut your dumb mouth.

  • @HonestlySmile Blocked for being an ignorant troll loser! Try reading the profile page first before leaving troll divel next time.

  • @HonestlySmile monkey? are you an alien from a bad scifi movie or something?

  • i want to hug that fluffee tail!

  • If you raise a fox from it's birth, it will be only a little different from a dog I would imagine. Granted, it would take about 3 to 4 generations of captive breeding to have more tame foxes but, by nature, ANY animal could do this, including my dogs and cats. That fox obviously wanted outside for some reason.

  • i really want to look after a fox

  • FLUFFY TAIL!

  • Its been a while since I listen to vocalizations, but, isn't she calling out for a mate? o.o

  • @EleniRaine No, she's calling out for the pizza dude. ;o)

  • I like foxes, I think they are cool. Is it true that they have a strong odor that comes of their skin and fur?

  • Looks like he wants a toy to play with. :3

  • Shocking.... thats the trouble with people who put human feelings into wild animals.... that fox is clearly distressed and has huge anxiety problems,

anyone who has any understanding of animals can see this, you will never remove the wild animal from within, regardless of being born in captivity,

just plain cruel to be kept in this way

  • @kaytdupes Ah it'll be ok. It's just that we've been rescuing and caring for foxes (and other wildlife) for so long and we get a mixed batch of both, the self righteous as well as the well wishers. Sometimes a self righteous rears its ugly head and trolls a particular video without taking the time to read the profile page first. Unfortunately it seems to happen more and more, which makes me fear that our society is turning into a bunch of self righteous ignorants. Which one are you? :o(

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 That fox looks happy to me, sides i've read your profile and all these "release the animal back into the wild" comments are silly, theres things a wild born animal would have to learn from parents to survive when they're ready to move on..a captivity born fox like kevie wouldnt survive long out in the wild.

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 You, friend, are made of win. Not only for your darling Foxies, but for your sharp tongue~

  • @kaytdupes Kaytdupes, by claiming that the fox is distressed and anxious, you're doing the very thing you're criticizing, placing human feelings onto a wild animal. What's shocking to me is your inability to recognize this analogue.

  • Look at the fluffy tail! :3

  • Such a pretty fox ^^

Only have wild foxes were I live, red and black ones. I only heard one Warn/alarm bark at me. It made me happy it didn't run towards me and rather run the other way 8D

  • I hate to see this beautiful animal on a leash. Why is it necessary to put it on him? And I am not telling you off, I am simply just questioning.

  • @rigocriaton1 Going by the videos, if she's at home, she doesn't seem to spend much time on a leash. That, however, seems to be more of an office environment, so it was probably to keep her from getting up to any mischief. XD

  • awww so fluffy

  • awww so fluffy

  • That is one fluffy, chatty fox.

  • I almost can't believe you let her back into the wild. ^^

  • @StarFoxAutobot Huh? We didn't release Kevie!

  • 0:54 - 0:57 OM NOM NOM^^

  • kevie is so fucking cute youve got your self a nice fox

  • partially disagree....i agree that WILD foxes will not make good pets. But in recent years a DOMESTICATED fox line has been re-introduced to North America...these foxes are 30 genertions or more from the wild, and were domesticated through selective breeding over 75 years...in short, a process that took hundreds of years in wolves, to dogs, in less then half the time. Sibfox.com

  • That is one fat fox.

  • Awwww she's biting the chair! :3

  • Those are some eerie noises!!

  • Foxes can;t really be kept as pets. Domesticating them really puts stress on them.

  • @79Testo I agree so please read my profile ok?

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2

When and what makes Kevie bite or act out?

  • @79Testo still, i guess it puts on them way less stress than making fur of them :)

  • @79Testo i don't know much about this fox here, but i doubt it's "domesticated". It looks like it's been tamed though. There are some types of foxes that have been domesticated specifically to have as pets, but i'm not sure the red fox is one of them...i could be wrong though. point is, i think the word you were looking for was "taming"

  • @munky3691 The word domesticated means that you control the breeding of the animal and yes...this fox is not being breed....

  • @lironess Nope, Kevie's been spayed. :o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 XD Is that chin fat under your surprised face? :) Anyways I've seen all your videos and Kevie is a beautiful fox; thank you for taking such good care of her!

  • @79Testo That's why they bred domesticated foxes. :l

  • @Skittywolf Actually the real reason why they attempted to breed domesticated foxes was so that they wouldn't fight as much when it became time to harvest the pelt.:o(

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Really? Huh, well I learned something today! Silver foxes are awesome, aren't they? :3

  • Sounds to me like Kevie's got some arctic fox in her.

  • omg! ur gorgeous fox has a really beautiful tail...

  • looks as if she could be a little hard on the furniture. thanks for explaining her special circumstances. she is quite beautiful.

  • "Nom, nom, nom, nom. Chewy chair." =P

  • This video made my cat so nervous he checked behind the speakers to see if there was anything in there.

  • @pantiara2 LOL and tell your kitty cat there's plenty more where that came from if he doesn't behave! ;o)

  • From start to 0:07 - A fox singing in either F major or A minor! LOL!!!

  • This is my first video of seeing Kevie. She is beautiful! I love foxes <3 I have to admit, to someone like me who is not terribly educated on foxes, she almost looks distressed. My puppy does that when he really wants to go outside. But from all the comments from you and others, I'm not worried. So now I know a bit more about foxes :) Thank you! <3

  • @CricketChan You're welcome! Glad we could help to educate you about foxes. I remember this video well and I had promised to take her outside to play in the snow and she's reminding me. ;o)

  • lolz kevie is funny.

  • A privilege to share one's life and space with any animal and a wild animal that has developed trust - even more. We have a fox who shares our outside space here - I hope she brings her little ones this year to show us as she did last year.

  • I LOVE KEIVE

i beleve foxes are senchant or how ever you spell it but i can tell there self aware

  • 0:53 O hai chair! I'm just gonna sit here and nom on yoo!

  • so beautiful! lol he bit the chair! nomnomnom! XD

  • She looks like a very gorgeous and beautiful vixen. :)

  • How are foxes as pets, and how does one come about as having them as pets. Not that I'm interested in having one, but just curious. You're fox is very pretty by the way.

  • Cuuuuute =]

  • It is trully a priviledge to be able to take care of a wild animal. The normal human habbit with house pets is to consider them as 'their own'. What they don't understand is that an animal can never have the feeling of being 'owned' without feeling uncomfortable. If it trusts you, it doesn't mean you own the creature, but I believe it means you're a respectul person who can respect the natural habbits of the animal.

  • @JakJoProduction A very eloquent comment my friend, many folks can learn from you! :o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 that wasn't a complement, just tried to be nice about it, let him go. you have no right to do that

  • @JakJoProduction

haha our dog elmo has the sense of ownership, we dont own him, he owns us, he pretty much lets us know when oh say your a few minutes past when he ususally goes for a walk by following you relentlessly and giving you the glare down, or if you let him out and he makes a beeline for the passenger door of your car and wont move till you actually let him in the car in which case he wont leave the passenger seat till hes gone for his drive

  • I love that fox hahahah :)

  • I'm not too familiar with fox noises, or knowing foxes at all, but your fox is absolutely beautiful! Very unexpected noises, but uniquely wonderful. Thanks for sharing! I saw her "Sings a song" video, and her eyes and face are captivating, I never saw a fox face so close up.

  • @TemLo5425 Thanks so much for your kind comment, we really do appreciate you! :o)

  • And I LOVE the noise it makes at 00:39, so adorable.

  • Sounds like a bird :p lovely

  • hehe, sounds like a dog, a cat and a chicken mixed up :D so cute!

  • Wow, your fox is pretty big. o3o! Mine is pretty small, only slightly bigger than a cat.

  • This sound is lovely!

It's sending my dog absolutely bonkers :D haha too cute :D

  • @JenRageify lol yeah she has a habit of causing chaos wherever she goes. She does it on purpose. ;o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 Ah, the cheeky vixen! Hehe, bless her heart! :D x

  • Kevie is gorgeous! :D It's so interesting to observe fox behavior, and they make some awesome noises! :o

How old were Bridgette and Kevie when they came into your care? And with Kevie in particular, is there any physical differences between her and other red foxes, or is that Arctic part in her indistinguishable to the naked eye?

  • @ornamentelle Kevie is much smaller than the average red fox. Bridgie is closer in size, approx. 15 lbs. and Kevie is only about half that. Her smaller size could be a result of over-breeding too. Thanks for dropping by! :o)

  • Chair omnomnomnom :3

  • She's beautiful!

  • Cutest sound ever :) such a pretty little fox

  • awwww i love foxes! i want a pet fox...

  • 0:56 Translation: "Watch me as I attempt to swallow this chair!" - Kevie

  • Mmmmmm... chair :)

  • soooo adorable! i wish it was legal here to adopt red foxes. i want one so bad! such beautiful creatures :)

  • at 0:39 he looks at the picture ( there picture from the "kevie meows" video) and actualy stops for a second, and actualy looks at it and he makes the same sound. so maybe he keeps trying to communicate?

  • awww how sweet. National Geographic did a show about Wolves/Foxes and domestication and the possibility which were related to dogs. Turns out Foxes adapted (over time and breeding calmer foxes with each other) better to domestication, but Wolves failed miserably.

  • Ok ok... ANYONE who wants to complain about the threatment this fox is having, please read this first:

    1) She's not trying to escape, she's just bored

    2) If she'd want to escape she would attack

    3) Leaving her into wild would just cause her slow and painful death, because she's born and raised as indoor pet (I'm not using the word captivity because she's treated too good for that) and also she has few birth defects and she's trough 3 different surgeries.

You have nothing to complain about.

  • Your fox is adorable and doesn't seem inhumanely treated at all. She just seems like she's looking for the noise.

But you do seem really defensive in your comment-responses. I mean, I'm not lurking all of the comments, but the ones at the top you do seem REALLY defensive. Just an outside perspective.

  • @fox8D Thanks but I disagree. I believe that my responses are adequate to the comments. As I said before, I get defensive when people troll only one of our many videos without taking the time to learn about the whole story. If they were concerned about Kevie's welfare, wouldn't you think they'd take the time to get to know about her and her situation rather than leave derogatory comments on only one video?

  • kevie: Im a fox and thats ok. i nom on the chair, and i roam and play.

  • @greytimberwolfpup LOL! Someone should make a Motivational Poster of that with a screen cap of Kevie.

  • The fact that you're so defensive SpiritWhiteFox2 makes one think that you have something that you feel guilty about.

Perhaps we should leave the wild in the wild.

  • @Titustails Uhm no, I'm so defensive because certain people are too ignorant (or lazy) to read the profile page and learn that A.) Kevie was in fact born in captivity and B.) she was born with several birth defects, of which required her to have 3 different surgeries. I'm defensive because these same ignorant people expect me to dump her off somewhere, abandoning her, which would result in a slow & painful death. Geeze would you dump your dog or cat off to fend for itself?

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 that was beautiful well spoken man

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 You tell em! People are so quick to go off and give these self righteous comments having no idea what the situation is with your foxes. I had to find a new home for my Pitbull who was sweet as an angel because of my neighbors ignorance. She never harmed a single thing, ever. Just because of what she was, they assumed she was a vicious dog. You just keep up the good work.

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 "Geeze would you dump your dog or cat off to fend for itself?"

Yes, in fact, most of YouTube is that stupid.

  • @awesomelyshiny Er at least 12 people would anyway. ;o)

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 I completely side with you but to answer your question there are a lot of ignorant people that do thats how i found my dog charlie i was hunting and someone dumped him in the woods

  • @buck246810 Charlie is a very lucky fur kiddo that you came along when you did. Unfortunately people dump animals off all the time, especially when no one is lookin'. •_•

  • @Titustails kevie was rescued from a fur farm. The fur farmer left her in a bucket of filth with 2 broke legs. To look at kevie now though you would never know it. She is beautifull, and seems to be getting around pretty well. Kevies Mom takes very good care of her.

  • @Titustails @SpiritWhiteFox2 this person is being defenceive because of y'all critisizing this person having a pet fox.

  • so my only question is why is she always on a leash?

  • @Smariokami Probably because you keep watching the same video over and over? Maybe you should try watching one of the many videos that she isn't on a leash.

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 i haven't. i saw three or four videos and she had a leash on. i was just curious. dang. sorry for asking. no need to bite my head off. a simple answer would've been ok. thanks!

  • @Smariokami Huh? No idea what you're talking about, I was simply offering a suggestion that you should try watching some of the other videos where she isn't wearing the leash. I thought my response was very polite, sorry your insecurities allowed you to read otherwise but that's really not my fault. Maybe you should re-read my response as a normal person would instead of one who is self-centered? Again just offering a suggestion, take it however you will.

  • Comment removed

  • @SpiritWhiteFox2 ok. i'm sorry. no excuse to blow up. bad day and you are not the cause so i apologize. plesae disregard my earlier posts. i only meant to get an answer on why she was on a leash if she is in the house and your pet. i'm sorry again. the bottom half of your message really just vexed me and i lashed out. i'm going to be the bigger person and let it roll. i saw the video of you cuddling and stroking it so i know it is happy and loves you.

  • my fav animals (i <3 em all, but if i could be one these are top 3)

    1.Wolf

    2.Cheetah

    3.Fox

  • I heart Kevie!!

  • I do get so exhausted from having to endure the busy-bodyness of well meaning people. Animals are animals. You love them and care for them if they are in your care. If they are already wild, let them remain so. What we as humans REALLY need to be concerned with is each other. Caring for the genuinely needy... helping the elderly.... getting involved with volunteer organizations of all kinds that help mankind. Life is hard people. Help a neighbor.

  • That one cry that foxes do, the one that you first hear Kevie make, will scare the CRAP out of you late at night when you first hear it. At a distance, (especially to the amateur ghost investigator on their first outing) it sounds just like a human screaming.

  • XD I love the part at :53 where Kevie's like: "rawr! I'm gonna eat your chair!" And this is like: "Nah, doesn't taste good." XDD that made my day.

  • CAP exiiists :D

  • I'm sorry, but videos like this do encourage foxes as pets. It deeply pains me to see any wild animal couped up in a human environment and given a name and a human personality, its like sticking a middle finger up to nature, as well as the individual animal who will suffer a lifetime of captivity. Foxes are beautiful. They run free, are very illusive, kill for food (and often for pleasure, which in-fact helps nature's balance) and this is when, and only when they are happy and fulfilled animals.

  • @billyjean000001 Uhm...no.

  • @FatalX7 Nice intellectual response there. Though, you'd expect that from someone who watches videos entitled 'Pandas birthday cake'. Please, learn about the biology and conservation of wildlife, rather than living in your own little fantasy world where tearing wild animals out of their habitats and forcing them into captivity for our benefit is wonderful and exciting. Grow up. Pick up a book, and get out there to save and protect magnificent wild species in their natural habitat.

  • @billyjean000001 Sounds like personal attacks and insults. I'm guessing by your logic that you won't save a helpless animal and you'll just let it die in the wild. The fox these people have probably wouldn't be able to survive in the wild, so that's why they keep it. But you don't know that do you? You're just watching a video and posting negative comments without knowing the whole situation. I like how you judge me because I have a panda video favorited for my girlfriend. Grow up.

  • @FatalX7 I didn't intend any personal attack, I have just built up a lot of frustration against zoos and humans captivating animals and you happened to be on the receiving end... Sorry. But to your comment, nature has its own way, that we have no right to interfere with. Animals die all the time, its how they evolve and become stronger as a species. And please do think, my first comment makes sense, people will look at this and see a fox as a pet, whatever you may think or believe.

  • @FatalX7 The wild is the wild, if we start to interfere (as we have and are) the balance will be disrupted. For example, in the UK we killed the deer's natural predators off (wolves etc) in the early 1900s, which means we must now cull deer to control the numbers. We interfered and now we must interfere to return the balance. We humans think we have a god given right to kill, save and hold captive animals, if nature had its way, foxes like this would rightly and naturally die in the wild.

  • @billyjean000001 Doesn't matter how many 'billyjean' profiles you come back with, you will still be blocked so do yourself and the decent people who watch these videos a favor and stop trolling!

  • @billyjean000001 You should probably read her profile. >_>

  • @FatalX7 Didn't seem to matter to this troll, check out the "Pledging my Love for Kevie" drivel he/she posted. Unfortunately some trolls just don't get it.

  • @billyjean000001

Do you eat beef burgers? Rice? Wheat?

  • what a wonderul creature, thank you for looking after that beauty. many just want to see it dead, many just look at them as 'vermin', but they must be respected too just like every creature they feelings as well.

  • That's the sound I'm more used to! Kind of coyote like! And what is this about people wanting them as pets? I wish people would quit thinking wild animals can just readily become their pets at a whim!!

SpiritWhiteFox2 what do you think when people comment that they want to get a fox as a pet?

  • @XantinovaX The first thing that comes to mind is the scene from Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (the original version with Gene Wilder) where he says "no, stop, don't, come back" to the unruly child. It's unfortunate for the fox when certain people find out the hard way that they do not make good pets

  • What do Red foxes smell like? Is it really that bad because I really want to get one soon.

  • Thank you for your fox videos, they make me feel good. :) Kevie is such a wonderful little thing.

  • .....I wanna cuddle it o3o
