So, great playing to start out, but I'd suggest getting an Axe FX, AVID Eleven Rack, or Line 6 POD (pretty much any of the models) to run through to record your covers. Keeps everything as quite as you want in the room, but as loud as you want on the video.

My POD (though I don't do much guitar myself) I picked up used for only a little over 100 bucks.
