I find it strange that Roeper's insights actually declined in value over the years on that show. He made some fairly origininal and interesting observations/criticisms in his first year or so and then became pretty middle-of-the-road.

Ebert actually did have positive things to say about the 3-D in Avatar, though later on he wrote an article blasting 3-d so I think he's still mostly negetive about it. Most good 3-D has been done in animated movies. It has gotten better certainly since Spy Kids 3-D, but most live action movies should stay the hell away from it in my opinion.

actually, tragically, what Roeper says so incredulously about how hard it can be to get custody over the porn actress, apparently pretty hard. Too often in family law, even if a mother is proven to be a horrible mom, she still gets awared custody over a proven better more fitter father. Talk about prejudice.

The chemistry between Siskel and Ebert is absolutely awe inspiring. The meticulous, but somewhat detached and analytic mind Siskel posessed and the always subjective, intimate and warm observations that Ebert contributed with, truely made a magnificent duo. A lot of the time, these two critics were far more entertaining than the crap they had to endure. Hats off to Ebert, and Siskel is fondly remembered and missed.
