Renzo is the man!

BJ simply has accomplished more in his career than GSP. 4 weight class fighter, 2 weight class champ, 2nd most title fights in UFC history, World BJJ champ, a much higher finishing percentage than GSP, has one of the most successsful MMA sites in the world, established a youth foundation, and has the balls to speak his mind in any situation. Jose Aldo and Mike Brown both walk at about 170+. Still BJ has competed at 155, 170, 185, and HW. GSP, Hughes and Edgar have never moved up in weight. BJ is a true FIGHTER. I judge greatness differently than u and that is fine. I would just think a "martial artist" like yourself would have understood that already.

When u have two guys who are equally skilled, but one is much bigger, the bigger-skilled guy usually wins. BJ isn't even a big LW and could make 145 easily. Guys like Jose Aldo and Mike Brown actually walk around at a heavier weight than BJ, even though BJ currently fights 2 weight classes heavier. BJ is a true fighter and will literally fight ANYONE. He has more title fights than some UFC fighters have career fights. If that is not living up to one's potential, Idk what is. And he's still fighting dude!!!!! He's a top contender in both the LW and WW divisions of the UFC. BJ Penn is one of the greatest fighters to ever walk planet Earth.

@ralph3nuis That's the weakest arguement I've ever seen. To judge a fighter purely based on his numerical record just shows me how little u know about this sport. Look at the ppl he has lost to smart guy. They are ALL former or current UFC champions (Hughes, Machida, Pulver, Edgar x2, GSP x2). Couture will always be remembered as one of the greatest of all time and his record is 19-10. It's not how many wins and losses u have, but who you have won and lost to that determines greatness.

@ralph3nuis I am an amatuer MMA fighter fighting out of Grapplers Unlimited and a Boxing coach. People don't understand that BJ is a natural 145 lbs. fighter. He walks around @ 165. Jose Aldo and Mike Brown both walk at about 170+. Still BJ has competed at 155, 170, 185, and HW. GSP, Hughes and Edgar have never moved up in weight. BJ is a true FIGHTER. I judge greatness differently than u and that is fine. I would just think a "martial artist" like yourself would have understood that already.

@ralph3nuis That would be the one. I teach beginner boxing and speed bag classes at the YMCA. I'm also an assistant boxing coach at my Dad's gym called Young Guns Athletics. Yes, I'm 21 but my Dad had me training in boxing since I was 6. I feel I have enough experience to be teaching beginners. MMA has become my new love tho. I started out at Icon before it shut down and then moved to GU. I'm currently 3-0 in amatuer MMA and 11-1 in amatuer boxing. That is all u need to know about me.

When u have two guys who are equally skilled, but one is much bigger, the bigger-skilled guy usually wins. BJ isn't even a big LW and could make 145 easily. Guys like Jose Aldo and Mike Brown actually walk around at a heavier weight than BJ, even though BJ currently fights 2 weight classes heavier. BJ is a true fighter and will literally fight ANYONE. GSP will never have the courage of BJ Penn.
