It made me believe that a whole lot of shit happens and will happen to me in the future if I go the distance, but, to imagine all the things that I can become and the things that I can do even when the whole world seems to be against me, in order to feel that utter sweet victory..............you just got to feel that tension of your world slowly turning upside down.

Einhander is one of my very favorite games of all time (mostly because of the soundtrack). I first played a demo of it over 10 years ago and have loved it ever since. However, my emulator will not work so I cannot play it =[

Use ePSXe 1.5.2 (not any other version), mount the game with daemon tools or PowerISO for increased compatibility.

@Omega13Shadow Ghey. Daemon Tools Lite is a great mounter. And ePSXe 1.7 is great with it, too.

I can use OpenGL2 plugin but if your PC isn't that decent you can just get that Soft plugin. PEC (PSX emulation cheater) as well if you'd like to go invincible :] Cheers.

If I remember correctly -- I think this is the music for the last boss in the game.

I remember when I saw it the first time I didn't know which way was up. But it's easier than it looks.

You should see the final in Radiant Silvergun. You won't know what real fear until you are chased by a 3D running man throwing so many shots it makes Einhanders final look like a complete cakewalk. :)

Youre right.. It isn't. Games like the Darius series & the R -Types are much harder. The thing is -- those games arent nearly as fun or as elegant as Einhander.

Truthfully, the only game in its class is Radiant Silvergun -- which is much more difficult and just as elegant and fun as Einhander. If you haven't played it. Give it a shot. It's hardcore shmup fun.

Man, not only is this battle awesome because of the music, the stage, and Hyperion being so goddamn huge and impressive, but also because it's pretty much a final space 'dog fight' against a 'trusted-ally-now-turned-nemes­is' in an upgraded and ubber-pumped up version of your own ship. It all makes you feel in such a way that, when Hyperion himself finally shows up, the only thing you can really say is

"BRING IT ON!!"

Despite it's great overall terrific greatplay the original Einhader is a cult classic. Anyone who knows what a cult classic is knows that they rarely sell well... Killer app? It would be cool don't get me wrong but todays gamers wouldn't have a single clue about the franchise. Mabe realeaseing it along side the original on the PSN would help.

@RinoaDestiny That could be arranged. Make it so weapons can only be picked up by the player who defeated the enemy. Player ships who don't collide and maybe add a system that if someone dies, the other player can resuscitate him/her by killing a certain number of enemies/or the boss.
