Guys, did you ever think that your look was a little intimidating for mainstream fans of R&B to accept you? If you were like Earth Wind and Fire, you'd be more accepted. Well, it was your loss, wasn't it?
I was at Howard and they were playing and I had passed out. Some chick came over and started asking me questions, I looked up and it was Dia. I thought to myself I thought I was in Cleveland! Nope I was in DC at Howard at a Funkadelic/Parlament Concert totally wasted :).
Wicked groove. Dennis Chambers 4:35 (just 21 here) is on drums but the bassist isn't shown. I'm not convinced that I'm hearing Bootsy on bass in this performance - anyone know who played bass on this tour?
Hey yo, i'm just out a jail innit, this music is everything to me brudders! Me main main man Steve Bilboa (ex heavyweight champ) recommended it, it sooth away the stresses, but to really enjoy it, ya got to be smoking gangja, yeah man!! Free Nelson Mandela!
Can"t see him but you can feel him....yeah, Bootsy Collins!!. Bootsy , Bootzilla or whatever the name , still one of the greatest bassist of all times and one of the coolest mofos who ever lived.
you know why you can't find any p-funk's photos from their time on the web?
because that was the time when people were actually realistic- they knew the photos can't produce sound... so why the fuck photograph the talented motherfuckers... those were the days...
From their 1978 LP "One Nation Under A Groove" This is Funkadelic with the title track!!!!!! Get your Funk on!!!! Did You Know=That between 1967 and 1983 they had 13 top ten hits Including 6 #1s......If you dont own this Album or CD...You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!!

Who was the guy with that deep, deep voice in the parl.-funk albums? I liked promental, another song off this album, too. Seems to me that in this musical era that we were generally happier, hardier, and less violent.
Talk about transported back to high school daysWhew!
