@suferinbsharpsuck no I heard it too. it wasn't much but he went just a hair flat on "livin' it up right now!" I'm not sure if thats what barbershop666 was talking about but he did have a bit of 'trouble'
Actually I think he meant right at the end. He just fumbled a bit at the start of the last chord. He probably just didn't quite get enough time to breathe properly I would guess =P It's a pretty fast tag
The song is in Bb here. I believe Tim (tenor) is going C#-Cnatural-D on the tag and I'm hearing Eric (lead) take Gb-Ab-Bb to end matching Chris's (bass) post on the tonic. As for the bari notes I just hear Jonny take the 5th on an F on the last chord; not gonna try to find the rest lol.
I think they do though, just for the added power until they hit their own chordal resolution. If you try to sing it, try it this way and see if it sounds like this recording.
In fact, they don't double notes. If the key of the tag is B, like RyanFlynn says (I don't wanna get up and get my pitch), then the lead is doing G - A - B
I'm not entirely sure about the bari note in the first of the three, but I think he's simply doubling the tenor one octave down. That would make the chords:
Ha! I think you're right! Actually when I asked this question I was practicing for my "Sing With the Champs" appearance in Nashville! They do a different tag now, so I messed up anyway! Actually I messed up through the whole song! They're so precise, it was unbelievable how clearly I could hear all my flaws! Totally awesome!
Man! They are getting a TON of mileage out of the blue shirt-no tie-charcoal suit outfit!! You'd think they could have bought a different shirt or something by now. J/K
But seriously, Johnny looks like he's getting a bad case or Gary Lewis bari-hair. Watch the mousse, bro!
can someone tell where to get lyrics? I am gonna make an exact veresion of this but instead of having music notation I am gona teach my quartet by ear and by heart :)
Tim can grow facial hair?

Good song and very good voices!

Okay, I'd settle for just knowing what the lead notes are on the last three chords. Please?
srobari30 3 years ago
I think they're a D, C#, then B, since Tim goes from D to C# to Eb.

But they don't double notes, do they?

Would somebody spell the final three chords, please?

I'm not entirely sure about the bari note in the first of the three, but I think he's simply doubling the tenor one octave down. That would make the chords:
G - Aadd9 - B
