kalam you have one of the best hakans i've seen in a while props for that. Just a suggestion bro, you should post match footage as well that would be real nice to see how you get to a point to apply this type of pressure
As a Hakan user myself, I gotta say you rock HARD, dude. I've got a videos with him but NOTHING like this. I'm the only one in my circle who uses him so I try to represent but WOW. Great job.
In all seriousness, what times do you generally oil up? I've been in the habit of light after most oil slides and mediums after oil rockets and dives (albeit generally not doing so when the opponent's got ultra.)
I have been playing Hakan at my local arcade and am loving him! He definitely got some buffs in AE, though it is still quite difficult to win with him, especially against rushdown characters. But he's so much fun to play with. Thanks for uploading these and displaying some of the possibilities with this underrated character.
@SuperPhamicom thanks bro,appreciate u play hak as well,he is a great character. true,he is underated, but he is not weak at all.like you said,its hard to win with him if you play hakan the general defencive way against rushdown players.thats why i developped a rushdown play with him 2,i play him offensively and here its different and not hard to win with him.i don't believe in tier lists and matchups.i believe in individual player's skills. all characters are dangerous,depend to players really.

@OldSch00lKid yeah, during a backdash you are considered in the air, and therefore punished by the ultra 2, shoryuken, and jump will be punished too in this situation! That's the power of the hakan u2 ^^

Reason I ask about the reset is that I think a focus attack to forward+mp, slide + followup would do more damage even with the scaling, and it builds meter instead of using an ex meter? and an opponent can't get out of it? Just wanting to get the thought process behind it all, love the shenanigans, cheers!
@holbroal thank you so much and i appreciate you comments and your knowledge my friend. love that you are a hakan player as well so you are more able to understand me my bro. well, to tell you the truth and about my style. i play a bit differently ssf4, specially with hakan. If you notice 1:42, 2: 06, etc..i have a rythm in my head i follow. beyond combos/mixups, i hit frame attacks (frame traps)(to hit first after and maybe lead to critical hit). i became like a machine and learned frames
@holbroal so this is why i think streetfighter differently. and i believe hakan is the only character with this capability. to play with frames and unbalance the game. even if i'm not doing anything i hit the void to be able to grasp that rythm (empty lk, empty lp) even if i'm not hiting like here 2:24 , i keep this rythm by dashing forward backword, it helps me and this is how i developped this frame way of thinking (not thinking just combos). i know its weird but this is how i play.
Hey mate, huge respect from a fellow hakan player, I have a few questions for you about your style:
1. I noticed you go for whiff foward+lk after the slide body splash, then jumping in, while a lot of players (myself included) use whiff mp, is there a reason you do this? They seem very similar frame data wise.
2. That's a very cool trick reset at the 1:55 mark, did you do that just to style on him because you knew it would kill him, or would you every pull it out during a middle of a fight?
@holbroal 1: there is a reason i do that my friend, standing lk hit always first, and you can frame attack after(i know i invented this word about my style lol) with crouching mk...its about feelings as well, you must also disorient/lure your opponents (if they know about hakan gameplay) i perform unusual series of hits (i know its not gonna reach him) and with the rythm i follow it helps after to do the basic stuffs...
2 here is exactly what i was talkin about, i think u understood my style
