plz help !!! i got 2 quadrants and set them up exactly like yours.. programmed them properly and also made the sensitivity the same on both quadrants but when i advance all four throttles engine 3 and 4 start of ahead of 1 and 2 and advance slower so finsh on around 85 % thrust while 1 and 2 are on 100 %..... if i put 3 engines on 1 throttle and 1 on the other only 4 is out of place

can any1 help ???

im a licensed pilot flying complex aircraft

- The yoke itself is too "springy" and does not give a true aircraft feel. Some of this may be the programming in FSX but I don't think so. Aircraft tend to yo-yo along the pitch axis even when using only the trim switch which you must use, even moreso than the real thing). Some aircraft, of course, are more sensitive than others (like the Mooney) but other stable planes are yo-yoing as well.

Go to button settings and find the 4 engines and make sure that it says repeat on full/100 % in the right side. If not it will do like you describe it ;)..

Flying with it yes. bashing it after it stopped working, properly yes. If you pay over 100 quid for something like a joystick you expect it to have a decent life span of more than 6 months. unless you pay 20 quid then i fully expect it to give up . This will be my last post on the matter at hand. All I can say you are mug..

I have had my Saitek units inexcess of 3 Years and never have I had any hardware issues, a few glitches with the software yes but you expect that from time to time due to differences in PC's and setup. But to say they are rubbish without any substantiation is somewhat strange

Very easy in this Vid there is on Prop Pitch and One Mixture.

You go to the calibration section in windows and take note of which axis is which ie X Y Z etc.

The in FSX you assign assign that axis to the required need such as Throttle engine 1, Throttle engine 2 and so on and swap the coloured knobs around as needed.

Well lets see How long is a piece of string ?

It really depends on what you want to fly , you can set one quadrant to work all engines simultaneously but this is a bit unrealistic for the multi engine flight.

I have two quadrants because I fly some twins, nothing larger than a Saab 540, and NEVER any tube liners, GA VFR/IFR navigating with real maps, stop watch , Whizz Wheel - none of this fandangled GPS stuff .

IMHO a second quadrant is a must if your serious about your flight.

The Yoke Box ie the black body as it sits on your bench is just over 10 inches deep 11inches wide and 3 1/2 inches high . That help

The throttle quadrants can be fixed to the front of the desk and not actually on it :) but the clamp takes up about 4 ins square

can anyone reccomend a good layout for three of these things? (9 levers) and for the switches. I'm thinking of getting Saitek's full setup but I think there's too many things that can be finely controled like throttle to map to all of them, I'll also be getting all three control panels they have so with the exception of moving the flaps to the levers, the stuff on the panels will be there already. Why saitek put a small switch for flaps on a control panel is beyond me... rather have others.

Because when you fly a real airplane you should only need to use like 3 fingers to fly in cruise, landings you should use all your fingers etc for control (obviously), with the right hand always on the throttle incase you need to apply more power in case of wind shear, overshoot etc.

Maybe he plays a lot of older games and that's why he has a CRT. Did you know your little LCD blurs horribly on anything under it's native resolution which most older games don't support? That's one of the bad downsides of an LCD. That's why I have a CRT for older games.

When I sat up my throtle quadrant, i chose the black one to throtle, blue one to spoilers. That worked, and they were just as they should, but I also set the red one to be the flaps "trim" but it didn't work. Anybody have ideas to what is wrong? (It's the y-rotation that is wrong)
