to get free roam mode you've got to complete the whole game on 2 different stories or just input the cheat Triangle X, X, X, Left, Square, Triangle X, X, X, Left, Circle on the main menu screen (where you've got the options new game, load game, or settings )

The Getaway series was a Sony PlayStation 2 exclusive (they should've used Only on PS2 logo), and Sony owns them so if TG3 comes it'll only be on PS3.

I loved this game. One of my favourite GTA clones, although it was kinda clunky. It's a shame they never made a third game of it.

What I loved about this game, is that at least the Police arrested other people - i.e. gangsters, whereas in GTA, they only went for you. Though after playing GTA IV, they have KIND of updated this... 7 years later.

The "veteran" cops in the original Driver were pretty relentless, no matter how many cars they trashed.

In the "Survival" instant game I managed to avoid them for an hour in LA by ducking down an alleyway just as they said "we've lost him".......... I had to wait stationary, the timer would count to 59min 59.99secs and go no further.

Yeah the cops in Driver were very good on the road but that was it. In this game they come up behind you and set up proper road blocks, they always get you in the end.

Gidday, um i've got 2 questions...Why are the police cars in free roam always those stink yellow ones? Because when you're DC Carter they are orange, and there are vans as well, etc. And also, how do i locate Snow Hill Police Station from the beginning of the free roam mode? Because i always struggle to find where i am, as there is no map...thanks in advance.......
