I will contribute if you make me understand exactly what it is you plan to do if you were elected. What exactly are you going to do when you are up against a giant monster. You obviously have the wisdom, knowledge...but what's your actual game plan? I support you 100 but I'm skeptical if you can create any type of actual change. As long as our current system is in place, it will do all it can to prevent real change. Too much corruption, too much greed.
Look what one person (Ron Paul) has been able to do already. Who knows how long this could take. As long as we keep opening peoples eyes we will win. Change isn't going to happen overnight.
Poor old Peter. How many people are listening any more? 13,000? Good for you. The mainstream media don't deserve your wisdom. You are one of the lone voices of reason and truth.
the dow is not the market really. And its not the same dow from 2000 (5 stocks were swapped out by 2004, and new ones added including Microsoft and Intel, which are also on NASDAQ). Now, two more area being kicked out, GM and CITI. I cant think of a better way to keep the dow up..
Peter, have you ever heard of Richard Ney. Read his "wall street jungle", "wall street gang", and "making it in the market". The market maker Specialists control demand by controlling stock prices....
I'm living in Sweden, and was heavilly invested in the US. I wish I had heard about Peter earlier!
I think Peter is wrong when he is running for senate. He will achieve practically nothing there (Ron Paul is struggling, but it seems to be really difficult).
I think it would be more efficient to get more involved with the grassroots movement.
Yes, this is something along the lines of what I was thinking. There are some nasty slimy people in politics. If Peter runs for the senate, he will be playing hide and seek in the gardens of the houses where these people were born. He is better doing what he is doing now.
I'm also from Sweden, but putting a Ron Paul in the senate will have a bigger effect the in congress. I don't know all the detail, but a Senator can Fillebuster and block legislation to a certain extent.
I wouldn't mind donating to Schiff, Ron or Rand. However since I'm not an American or a green-card holder I can't donate.
I don't know the details on what a senator can accomplish either. One strength is his charisma, and he may get a lot of media attention even in mainstream media.
who is this "our" and how did this country becomes yalls... Get the collective spirit out of you and realize that there is no collective "we" in America. We are all sovereign individuals, and none of us, nor the whole, own America. The government should not be run by us, nor should it do our bidding. It is there to protect the individual against the majority, and protect property rights. We are not a democracy, nor should we be.
....obligation.. HOWEVER it appears that most people like to talk outwards first.. before looking at what's happening to themselves.. there are smart people that use other peoples money.. but are more than cashflow positive to pay the debt, just that they manage themselves MUCH BETTER in order to continue to be better business people.. something to think about.. we can all do this..
Heard a couple business men on the radio the other day that come from a Christian perspective on the whole money thing, and the biggest thing they were saying is that you cannot be trustworthy with your own money. Some people are really smart with financing and all, and can help others keep their financial situation in the positive, but then when it comes to their own money, they lose their discipline. The idea is we need someone to hold us accountable... another friend help us as we help others
.....bewildered why these economists aren't practicing their own ideas, by being economical !!. Well I like reality. If we give ourselves a chance to really ask OURSELVES the honest questions, and privately laugh or cry about our REAL positions, then we can see things as they a really are. Nothing wrong with being overdebt, if you're willing to manage it, or fix it, lifting up the heavy ONGOING obligation....
Even without the chance to step into the Policing of Power group(politics), I would encourage the move to ATTEMPT to win, because it will motivate others to rethink their REALISTIC POSITION. I've sat down with PHD economists(whatever!!) understanding that yes they have studied some discpline, but I've hit them with the "are you cashflow positive & more than managing debt or have no debt?". I've been lucky so far to fine 100% that are credit to the bone, & bewildered...
I believe if you feel you can do it, without what others say, and you've thought about going all the way or doing something during the time you have to make your life worthwhile(for the greater good & including your own personal motivations) then consider stepping forward. Other than that, I believe you can CONTINUE to be most effective with what you are doing already. MORE IDEAS to come.. you're already doing much more than what you believe.. BE COOL MATE.. keep the faith !
you got to have the money to give it. And politicians and bankers have a bad smell to all of us who are unemployed. Trust and confidence are shot to hell. It will be an uphill battle with a questionable result in a time of much uncertainty.
Peter i actually like and respect you. To be real you would be 1 of 6 honest souls in wash d.c.. no way would i help put you in a cesspool to be destroied. This way you are a free man, once you get involved .................
Obama had the spirit working in his favor, but he wsa corrupted quickly as evidenced by the hiring of crooks. In any event it may be too late. You forecast economics very well--
can you see the international political repercussions. 38 count limit.post comment witout wor
We need to have those who are reluctant to run for elective office actually do as Peter Schiff is going to do and to run. When the fascist dems and repubs are run out of office for ruining this country there will need to be good, strong constitutionalist, economically sound people to fill those vacancies. Peter is one of them. I would like to see Judge Napolitano, Bob Schulz, Joe Bannister, Walter WIlliams, Lew Rockwell, Thomas Woods, Jeffrey Tucker, and a host of other like them, run for office
Just the simple fact that you would replace Dodd is a giant step!!
