I think the song was meant to be lullaby-esque. So it wouldn’t be all over the place! It’d be repetitive, soothing. It does change. I wonder if people listened till the end or noticed the subtle changes I.E. tempo, harmony, "strings" at the end. A lot of good songs are lullaby or chant inspired and not much on catchy choruses. There’s no one way to write a song. Creative vision is what it is, and couldn’t care less for some standard song formula. Take that song police!

God is all about repetition, is all to learn what we need to learn to "See the error of our ways". Cody was mearly trying to spread the WORD & make it sink in. I LOVE IT NO COMPLAINTS HERE!!! LOVE IT JUST THE WAY IT IS. Simple & not misunderstood

OMG, man, why so optimistic? O_o

And yes, the distinctive chorus is desperately needed. Even this repetition would do, if there was a catchy chorus. But when two verses and a chorus are built on one repetitive tune... man, that's wrong.
